Mr Beckham enjoying himself in Qatar

His PR strategy absolutely baffles me. I mean we know he has a number of people working for him and his wife in this regard. But he spends 13 hours queuing up in September for his long-sought knighthood, then becomes the public face of the least popular World Cup in living memory by November.

Does he want adulation, or obscene wealth? Cos it’s a tough gig to try and have both in abundance.

Frankie Boyle roasted him :ROFLMAO:

Feel nasty as saying it, but David Beckham freaks me the **** out. Can't watch more than a few seconds of him speaking ... not because he is the most mundane **** of all the footballing greats ... but because his face scares me. It is like he has no facial muscles and you're watching a robot talk.

I do wonder how much plastic he's had pumped into his grid to try and still look 27 ... he looks Kryten off Red Dwarf with a trendy bit of facial hair :ROFLMAO:

Whatever floats his boat I guess. As long as he's happy and thinking about his 'favourite mornings' :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: .. Good grief!

Beckham has no charisma whatsoever or screen presence and his lips barely move when he talks, its like he's devoid of emotion and when he talks
It's just all fake

Who in the right mnd would watch him in an hour long documentary about Qatar, guy has got the IQ of a fly, he's obviouly been paid to wax lyrcial
about Qatar for an hour, be no different to watching an hour long advert

He's as dull as dishwater, not intelligent enough to be a TV presenter, and he is starting to look too old to be dressing up as 30 year old and
all the plastic surgery he has had like cosmonaut said makes him look like Kryten

...or does he want Qatari money backing for a Beckham led buyout of Man Utd? He's not as stupid as his wife looks.

I wonder who the audience is for all his stuff. Probably not most of the message board users here.

Much of what he does is fairly well planned I think.

The money is in the East for him, not in the UK and for his brand too I would imagine.

Good point.

I know the United fans want rid of the Glazers and I also think he was a great player for them (even underrated by many) but surely a Qatari backed Beckhamisation of the club is the last thing they’d want?

Who knows though, you could be right!😕

That wasn’t about PR though that was about his knighthood that he feels he deserves and as his email said.

Great ???

I’ve said this before but not only was he not the best player at Man U he wasn’t even the best midfielder in that side either

Of the 4 in fact I’d say all three were above him.

Scholes
Giggs
Keane

All far better players.

I think this will turn out to be an own goal PR wise for him.

His public standing was about as good as it as ever been following the queuing up thing, but this was a mistake.

Still, I guess the reported $150m he got from the Qatari regime will ease the pain somewhat
