The Llanberris path is the most user friendly in a way .... you leave Llanberis itself on a road which does get very steep. Once you turn left onto the path itself, it becomes a very gentle gradient for a mile or two... wide, easy to walk on... and there is a cafe part of the way up. The main steep section is up to the Clogwyn station ... then it is reasonably straight forward to the summit. There is a section with exposure (cliff edge) to your left approaching the summit, but the path is wide.
Now, the negatives. In the winter, with ice and snow, it is actually one of the more dangerous routes to the summit...as one slip can have you sliding down for a hundred metres and then off the cliff edge. Ice axe and crampons essential in those conditions.
In the summer, it is safe...but incredibly busy. You'd find quieter city centre shopping streets. Spring and Autumn midweek might be more tolerable. The most important thing with Snowdon is the weather. You want high pressure and clear skies... otherwise you'll see nowt from the top. At the summit, in the summer, expect to queue a long time if you want to stand atop the summit cairn... see videos top follow.
If you want a coffee at the top, check when the cafe opens. It's quite late spring.
Other routes ... Crib Goch is a no no unless you are used to dangerous scrambles. Even the miners and pygg tracks have their dangerous sections in certain conditions.
But, if you get a clear day at the summit, as you'll see in the two videos to follow... it's fantastic.
