Morrisons will bar customers who refuse to wear face coverings

There aren't many genuine reasons, and I'd imagine that anyone with a condition that is exasperated by wearing a mask should be shielding at home not wandering around the shops looking for broccoli.
Then you'd be wrong.

There are medical conditions which allow you to be exempt from wearing a mask but put you no more a risk from catching the disease as a healthy person and thus no need to shield.

I'm exempt from wearing a mask but choose to do so because I can manage for the 20 minutes or so I spend in a supermarket. Others cannot manage so they don't wear a mask but are no more likely to catch the disease because of their condition. It's about how the mask affects your ability to breathe normally.

really? You'd need to bleach the shop down and remove all the fresh produce which has been breathed on

They are already doing it today.

In the past I had never realised or noticed how many people pick stuff up with their grubby little mits, finger the produce then put it back and pick something up they havent pawed.

Its a pack of cooked ham FFS not an ancient artefact that needs so much close scrutiny.

Not really mate.
I suppose you also label anyone who has the audacity to question any aspect of the official narrative or restrictions as a '5G Bill Gates conspiracy theorist' too?
I'm quite the opposite actually.
Then I stand corrected. I just think it's a bit sensationalist and inappropriate to be accusing people of being frightened just because they yearn for people to do the right thing and look out for others.

I'm sure there are the odd ones, have you got examples?
Yes - Chronic Pulmonary Disease.

But you don't just get CPD you can get different degrees of how bad it is and thus how it affects you.

The experts at the RVI in Newcastle have told me I don't need to wear a mask and that I don't need to shield. I think they know more than some on here think they do.

Drives me crazy seeing that, ever since I worked in shops. Those things are produced by the thousand in processing factories, to a regular size and exact weight.

Some people grope it like it's premium grade venison brought in fresh from skinning.

As I've stated on other threads about restrictions/lockdowns, a lot of it is down to common sense and I do feel the pro-lockdown people are a bit over the top at times, however I have no issue whatsoever with the stance the supermarkets are taking.

I was in a major supermarket between Xmas & New Year and the amount of people in the store wasn't right ...............

The others have now followed suit

Tesco, Asda and Waitrose have become the latest supermarkets to say they will deny entry to shoppers who do not wear face masks unless they are medically exempt.
