From Monday, shoppers who refuse to wear face masks offered by staff will not be allowed inside, unless they are medically exempt.

But it said: "From today we are further strengthening our policy on masks."

Security guards at the UK's fourth-biggest supermarket chain will be enforcing the new rules.

Morrisons' chief executive, David Potts, said: "Those who are offered a face covering and decline to wear one won't be allowed to shop at Morrisons unless they are medically exempt.

Surely most if not all medical exemptions are around breathing difficulties, so there would be no reason they couldn’t wear a visor. I don’t know why it hadn’t been enforced from the start, people would soon get sick of being turned away and would need to comply.
Because we're way too soft with idiots unfortunately and have been for far too long.

First I have heard of that Scuba
You buy it for 55p online.

Aren't people who are actually exempt (and aren't just being @rseholes) given a card? I saw a woman with one on a lanyard a few weeks back.

You can print it off the government website without any proof.
Not saying that woman was faking, but I've seen people wearing the lanyards that I know for a fact have no reason to be exempt.

Could you be bothered to do that just to avoid wearing a mask.

Ahh right, I didn't realise anyone could get their hands on one. Bit daft that that's the case really 😒
