Morgan Rogers

Engel just isn’t that good unfortunately - useful squad player but never a first choice left back. Bangura is better than him both defensively and offensively
 
Shame that half this thread on Morgan Rogers is on Engel but hey ho even a positive thread needs a dose of gloomy realism.
 
Would love for Rogers to continue as our 10 but he'll probably be moved wide left when Crooks returns.

Loved it when he turned with the ball deep into our own half and ran half the length of the pitch, eventually releasing it to Jones.

Final product wasn't always there today but he's just going to get better and better.
 
Rogers our best player today. Eats up space when he gets going. He lacks that final ball, a bit like adama, but that may be down to his style he runs with his head down, like adama, makes it difficult to pick people out. Great players get their heads up early. He is young and has time to get better.
 
He's improved in a team decimated by injuries. You need players to step up and he definitely has.

Long way from the finished product, inconsistent, frustrating......but look forward to seeing him in a team with the likes of Hackney, Forss, McGree etc.

And to think he was completely written off first dozen games........🙄
 
He is easily the most talented of the summer hordes, it was clear he had ability on his debut.
Today was the best I've seen him play for us, but he still frustrates with his final decision making and execution.

I think he's done enough to displace Crooks as the regular starter there personally but at the same time wouldn't be surprised if you're right.
 
Sorry to go against the grain on this thread but I just don’t see it. For every good thing he does, like the run today from his own half, there is no final end product. A lack of quality when it matters.

He makes mistakes of course he does but he’s young and developing - if he was the finished product he wouldn’t be playing for us. He is a big asset.
 
Plays with a smile on his face. That sort of love for trying things and sometimes seeing them come off will pay dividends as long as the manbabies don't manage to boo that joy out of him.

Big fan here.
 
Ive been his biggest critic this season, seemed a bit big time and had an attitude that wasn't warranted by his performances, However, he is starting to look good now..
 
I wouldn't be surprised if there are some Premiership teams circling for him soon, if not in this window. Certainly, if we sell Hackney we should give him more money and try and keep hold of him, He's getting better and better. He's staring to know he's good. Same as Barlaser. It's all about confidence. If players with talent get a run in the team, a manager who trusts them, then talent will out.

Love Rodgers. He's intelligent, humble, classy - like his manager

We have too many young possibily deveoping players in our team atm but a lot of that is down to injuries.

Think Barlaser remembered he was poor again in the second half.
 
He’s very good at carrying the ball forward, and deceptively quick at it too, but yes his end product needs to improve a bit. He could be a very good player though baring in mind his age and the number of games he’s played
