More nonsense from Jacob Young

Was just going to post this ForssAwakens. The man is a complete and utter clown. That photo is the first time he has been seen around town for ages. Is he going to knock on doors and tell those who live on Redcar Lane that their houses are coming down for a bridge.
I wouldn't care the West Dyke Road crossing gets far more congested than the Redcar Lane one.

Wouldn't any bridge also block off Ings Rd and Park Avenue?

I wonder how the residents are going to get into their houses.

A road tunnel under the race track would be a better solution.

Whilst I agree as a current Redcar resident that the level crossing is an issue at times and an increase in rail traffic would worsen the issue this is just pure electioneering. Whether he is aware or just parroting what his election agent is telling him is debatable though.

He is only spouting this stuff as the election is on its way, anecdotally most residents I speak to believe he spends 90% of his time in Thirsk with his partner and is rarely in Redcar.

Isn't the wording of that to use some of the HS2 money to just explore the options, not actually fund the solution?
In other words, give me some cash, I'll pass it on to some consultants and they'll provide a possible solution. Only then will we worry about getting approval and funding for the actual solution itself.

Total utter bull**** yet again from local Tories. The upgrade at Darlington for example, is a Network Rail project. Absolutely nothing to do with Young or his other Tory stooges.

As for any changes at Redcar. Don’t hold your breath. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Look at the real issue, that is 14 years of underfunding of the Local Authority.

At least it's more feasible than Ben Houchen's Tees Tunnel suggestion.

It's irritating that they're spending millions on people just looking at ideas though.
