My right of reply. I created that thread and my opinion, shared by others, is that in no conceivable way did the original thread title or anything I posted afterwards suggest that all Tory supporters were breaking lockdown rules.

But you're right, resorting to insults generally doesn't help resolve anything.
Unfortunately when insults are thrown one way they usually get thrown back.

But surely you can see you the difference between that post and those that call millions of people scum or traitors. Or that they were all ignoring lockdown rules.
Or suggest they be executed.
Or the posts that immediately call new members trolls because they don't agree with you.

Yes I know, you clarified that. I thought the original wording sounded as though it did suggest that, whether that was your intention or not. That was just my opinion. I posted that opinion and you changed the title. Nothing wrong with that. All very civilised at that point.

OK, let me simplify it.
If someone called you a **** and you replied that they are a d*ck, that is one thing.
If someone says that they don't vote Labour so you called them a d*ck, that is something else.

Wow, this is as bad as anything posted by the people criticising the Tories.

Hopefully this time you'll get a criticism that isn't 'yeah it's bad but...' in a way that is never done for those previously criticised.

I've no idea what any of that means to be honest. Although it doesn't look good and isn't helping, I agree.
Arguments resorting to those type of insults don't help the thread or the board.
Political discussions can be interesting and informative. But not when the insults start flying. Then they are divisive and pointless.

And by the way, whatever you think of me - troll, snowflake, apologist, whatever - it is fair to say I don't think I have ever resorted to personal insults on here.

There were lots of reasons Labour weren't elected. Some self inflicted, some manipulated by the media.
But I don't think someone off here crawling up a Magic Grandad's **** is one of those reasons.
That is unfair on decent minded Labour voters.

I assumed it was well known "sexpom" was a troll who rhymes with trifle.

He's obviously changed his username since I last ignored him.

Really not worth the effort.
 
I don’t use the ignore button but I’m close to putting sexpom on it (I won’t). Craves attention, double down to keep the attention on them. Did similar with the penalty incident Sunderland.
