Monaco interested in Latte Lath

I'd love him to stay , but , they're a very attractive option for any player.
You'd have to go get Archer with the money, surely? ( Wages dependant)

Great player for us, but we can find a pretty good replacement with that fee for him(Archer in particular). Will suck but still time to find another forward.

Pay £14m for Archer , he has a decent season , say 18 goals , we don't go up , what his he worth ? Money back ? Small profit to £18m ?
Its not the recruitment model , so I can't see it.
We will be going for the next Latt Lathe , buy for £5m , sell for £15m +
We don't need to sell , so won't accept less than £15m IMO , but if a bid of £15m+ comes in , he will go.
Love LL , but you would not begrudge him a move to Monaco , it's a dream move for ANY player .
Let's hope the recruitment team have the next LL lined up, to play with him , or replace him.

To be honest I’d be p*ssed off if they sell him now. I understand ‘the model’ but the plan has to be to allow a talented young coach to build his team, and consistently selling the better players makes it harder and harder to do that and get where we need to be. Latte Lath has only been with us a year. He can wait until next summer.

I really dont think we will be in for Archer, even if we sell LL. It goes against everything we do now. We are not spending £14m and £2m a year in wages on anyone in the championship. We get up to £15m for Rogers and replace him with Burgzorg for £1.5m. Thats what we do now.

If and when Monaco put in a serious bid, and from the comments about Gibsons "bullish" stance I think it will have to be very big (£20m+), then I'd guess ELL will be turned by his agent, it's just what happens. Its the price of being a Championship club.
Sad times and huge blow to the hopes of promotion even if we do have some ideas on replacements.

You can’t really put a true value on him
, the target is prem football if we keep selling assets itl be 1 season in 20 yrs in the prem
Selling Lath and using funds for Giles would be an utter waste IMO

If we can sell him for 4 times what we bought him for we should be able to find a replacement striker for twice what we paid for Lath

Yup he’s been here one season so he should be told to keep his head down, work hard and if we don’t go up he can leave next year. We’ve given him an opportunity and we’re happy to put him in the shop window for a bigger opportunity in the future but we need some return other than a fat fee. Too bad if he’s not happy with that, that’s life. If we keep selling our best players 6 - 12 months in how can we expect to keep hold of MC or any future manager?

Whilst I don't want to sell him either,if Gibson gets a pretty hefty bid and one that is way more than we value him at,then I think will be very hard for him to turn it down.

Good thing in all this is MC has shown to get the best out of players,so whoever we get to replace him will fit in nicely.

Come on now, it's double the time we hung on to Rogers. Lath's replacement might even manage two seasons.
