What was that all about? Was it just a simple case that Salah was annoyed at being on the bench or was there something more to it?
He was good in the first half of the season, but since the turn of the year he's been absolutely miles off it. He's only scored 3 goals from open play since early January.Poor Season?
24 goals in 41 games
It might not have been Klopp's decision to do that. Klopp is not out of contract at the end of the season so the club has the upper hand in any discussions to terminate early. Maybe the club wanted to control the narrative and insisted that the fans heard it from the horses mouth straight away rather than run the risk of a leakI think it was a massive mistake of Klopp to tell everyone he was leaving half way through a very hard season where they were challenging for the league title, it puts so much pressure on the squad to do it one last time for Klopp, and the fans must feel it too, they want to win it for Klopp, they've all been caught up in it while losing focus.
They both ignored each other at fulltimeThere’s a video on X from a fans angle, and it seems to show Salah wouldn’t acknowledge Klopp before coming on as sub. Looking at X this morning and people are saying he did the same at fulltime.
Sorry, yes, poor by “his standards” as their talisman he can’t go missing for half a season
I think he’s been fasting too, with nutrition being so important to athletes it’s bound to have affected him.He didn't. He went to AFCON, got injured, took ages to come back and hasn't looked sharp since.
Far from ideal but certainly didn't go "missing" - they knew exactly where he was (physio room) but is taking time to get back to full sharpness.
