Mo Salah Spat With Jurgen Klopp

What was that all about? Was it just a simple case that Salah was annoyed at being on the bench or was there something more to it?

I've read that Klopp was unhappy with Salah because he wasn't 'ready' to come on and in the meantime West Ham scored the equaliser.

I think it’s a case of “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

He should have gone to Saudi last summer he’s had a poor season and this tops it off

The whole thing at Liverpool just screams the end of a cycle. Obviously the manager is moving on, but their key players over the last few years all seem to have checked out too. Its been noticeable over the last few weeks how every time they don't win van Dijk gets interviewed and seems to blame his team mates for not being good enough. Never a good trait for a club captain.

I think there's a bit of downing tools. Liverpool mates say that he missed a chance on purpose against Palace. Don't know if thats actually true but his fall off of form can't be just down to his injury in the ANC.

Klopp's obsession with being the centre of attention and therefore telling everyone he's leaving 6 months in advance, knowing that the rest of the season, every interview with the press, every meeting with fellow PL managers would all be about him, has certainly appeared to have backfired in spectacular fashion. But then again, you can't expect to go behind in games as many times as they have and expect to be seriously challenging for the title come the end of the season

I think it was a massive mistake of Klopp to tell everyone he was leaving half way through a very hard season where they were challenging for the league title, it puts so much pressure on the squad to do it one last time for Klopp, and the fans must feel it too, they want to win it for Klopp, they've all been caught up in it while losing focus.

There’s a video on X from a fans angle, and it seems to show Salah wouldn’t acknowledge Klopp before coming on as sub. Looking at X this morning and people are saying he did the same at fulltime.

It might not have been Klopp's decision to do that. Klopp is not out of contract at the end of the season so the club has the upper hand in any discussions to terminate early. Maybe the club wanted to control the narrative and insisted that the fans heard it from the horses mouth straight away rather than run the risk of a leak 🤷‍♂️

They both ignored each other at fulltime

Liverpuddle imploding - nearly as funny as the mags if they were imploding….
1 year left on his contract and same for van the centre back..
they are the main men within the team and main reasons for their recent success or performance.
Dangerous moment for the new manager coming in…play it wrong and he could have a full rebuild on his hands…wouldn’t that be funny 😁

Sorry, yes, poor by “his standards” as their talisman he can’t go missing for half a season

He didn't. He went to AFCON, got injured, took ages to come back and hasn't looked sharp since.

Far from ideal but certainly didn't go "missing" - they knew exactly where he was (physio room) but is taking time to get back to full sharpness.

I think he’s been fasting too, with nutrition being so important to athletes it’s bound to have affected him.

I think he was saying to Klopp , wtf you telling me what to do for ? I know my job and I know yours, now where are we in the league?

I’d read they were going to keep it quiet but the media found out so they released the statement to get ahead of it.
