I would guess his wage is a bit higher than £50/£60k a week more like £80k/£90k or his agent is doing a very poor job.

No chance. Different level and he's not come close before.
 
He's similar to a Darren Huckerby type for me. Far too good for the Championship but not quite good enough to perform consistently at PL level.

He got 11 with Fulham 3 seasons ago, I'm certain he can manage 4 more.

He's had 2 full seasons in the Premier League in his career and managed 9 and 11 goals.

Last season he barely played because he fell out with the manager.

Exactly, I think it's a fallacy to say he can't score in the Premier League.

But it's one people like to repeat because him being a "Championship merchant" is funny to some.

I do think he is much improved now he has sorted his temperament out. We were trying to wind him up all night with some discreet rough stuff.. He'd have decked Howson a couple of years ago when he left one on him.
 
I think it's no more complicated than saying he has only ever been in struggling PL sides. Put him in any side that creates more than one chance a game and he will get goals.
