Clearly far better than Championship level .. but hasn't scored anyway near the same in the Premier League when he's been there .. Now, that could be he's been in struggling teams .. Fulham the last couple of times he's played there .. and previously the Geordies.

But scoring 38 in 37 this year when in the "best team in the league" shows he can score bucket loads .. so how come no top 10 EPL or top 6 ever gone in for him?

Seems to have calmed down but I would suggest his temperament maybe put clubs off in the past. Its a shame he got that goal last night because I was thinking to myself that he wouldn't want to come up against Dael Fry again! Never got a sniff. Bullet header mind!

I keep forgetting we nearly signed him. I'm sure the then Fulham manager had a massive part to play in that.

That said he's on anywhere between 50-60k a week (depending on what you read). It's absolutely madness for a championship CF. Yet I guess it's 'worth' every penny.

It will he interesting to see how he does next year. Apparently his all round game has improved and he's not as hot headed. The lads an absolute goal machine at this level. He would no doubt have been cr*p for us 😂

He's managed 24 goals in 104 appearances (only 72 starts) in the Premier League, not amazing but it's a far cry from the "can't score in the PL" meme that people keep bringing up.

He's played in two struggling sides and fell out with Scott Parker last season too.

He's a proven goalscorer so I am surprised nobody higher up has taken a punt on him. Look at the goalscoring charts in the PL this season, all strikers have been struggling. You'd think some of those teams struggling to score could do with a goalscorer. Fulham have been rubbish in all of their PL seasons. Would be interesting t see how he would get on in a stronger team (which could finally be Fulham).

He's definitely repaid that many times over. 76 goals in 94 championship games for Fulham over 3 promotion winning seasons.

I'll go out on a limb and say I think he'll get about 15 goals in the Premier League next season, which is more than acceptable in a bottom half side.
Wouldn't even be sniffed at it in a top half one.

Yes, Mitrovic would really have tested our amazing ability of sending strikers to the scoring graveyard!

Still crazy to think that we were the ones who got him out of Newcastle only for Fulham to poach Him at the 11th hour.
We should definitely get a cut of any future transfer fees for him then. If it wasn't for us making a move, he could have still been playing for Newcastle reserves. ;)

Absolutely nailed on he would have struggled to hit double figures for us if he'd have signed ;)

Had me wondering though, where might the potential next Mitrovic come for us next season, or even a player capable of getting close to 20 goals?? I definitely think with another season under his belt Balogun could do well with us on loan next season, assuming we're still in the Championship...

Prem is a tougher place and most teams are well drilled defensively. He wouldn't have score last night had we not totally fallen asleep. Don't want to name names but one of our defenders should have followed him out of the area and made sure he didn't get a run in.

He has never scored many in the Premier League. To be fair he wasn't in great teams. He needs service and chances and obviously doesn't get that in the teams he has played for in the Premier League. In the Championship Fulham create buckets of chances pretty much every game. He is a great finisher and fantastic in the air, but he has no real speed and doesn't press, he even looks a bit out of shape. Most top teams need their forwards to press, look at Lukaku's and to some extent Ronaldo's troubles when one player doesn't press it effects the whole team. Added to the fact he is on a decent wedge probably puts teams off.
