Missing Whatsapp messages

If they are conducting Government business on WhatsApp they should have to back up all messages to a secure server. If not, then they can claim they didnt get any message. It will be down to the individual then if they can pull up a message that proves someone is lying.
This whole thing is marginally more believable than Rebekah Vardy's agent losing her phone at sea. Marginally.
 
It's depressing isn't it? the different rules for the rich and powerful. Michelle Mone using OUR stolen taxes to create propaganda to say she's innocent. The former PM and former chancellor just blatantly lying or at least being allowed to get away with not presenting evidence. It;s all so bleak

Keeping the same number and leaving a history available for the prime minister every time it changes would make it easier for foreign spy services to follow them, and make it harder to identify the source of when an account is hacked (if it ever is).

If this was the case then I'm very sure Johnson and Sunak would have very publicly said so.

They haven't though have they? So I'm pretty sure it isn't.

The best they've been able to come up with is "accidentally deleted". Which no-one is really buying but not much can be done about it it seems.
 
I don't want to be defending this pair of buffoons, one of them deserves jail time, however my daughter sent me a WhatsApp message last week, I searched for it yesterday and it's not there. Fortunately I'd forwarded it on so I could re-read it. I hadn't deleted it
