Mings

This might be controversial but do you think Gareth an ex villa centre half often overlooked by England sees himself and his career in mings.
 
HE was in the England squad for 9 years, went to 3 major tournaments and got 57 caps, not sure he was overlooked that much.

Early in his career he was. He was in squads but wasn’t seen as a starter that’s my point like a tony Adam’s etc. As he was often overlooked for others to start.

He was an outstanding defender I always said if he was Italian he’d had been a legend.
 
Mings must be a very good talker in the dressing room. He looked nervous in both the friendlies and his passing isn't great.

But he did look dangerous at set pieces, I'll give him that.
 
Mings and Godfrey being in the squad reflects how poor the selection pool is in certain positions. Not even championship standard. Hopefully they will remain squad players and not in the '11' .

“not championship quality” is a bit harsh

we certainly are lacking depth in certain areas but I’d imagine other countries fans would say the same about areas of their squad, when it comes to depth and subs.

Possibly harsh. OK, not good quality Premiership players, which is where your selection pool should be based for representing you country.
