Perhaps it's because the health care that many had enjoyed in the areas outside of the heavily metropolitan areas has all but dried up, together with the rest of the infrastructure. You won't be reading that in the western press though, nor in the Russian press.Maybe the old Russians reminisce about soviet times . But is that because they were young and look fondly back at their youth or the standard of living they had in the ussr?
