How do I win on this - do I say I/we knew in advance - and then be taken to task as sharing club secrets. Or no it was sprung on us - we were not involved? It does make sense but I’d seen it on the club’s social media channels before it was mentioned on here. It was announced first thing on Monday 11th November.
My general point is did the club and the forum debate and discuss this trial, or did the news come as a surprise to the forum. Likewise half season tickets. Both things seemed to come out of the blue.
Oh yeah the fees! Forgot about those. But the club will say it’s out of its hands as the service is provided by an outside company. As if those running the club have no input into who they outsource these things to.
Paul Heaton spoke well about this recently, after the Oasis and ‘dynamic pricing’ fiasco. He goes to meetings to personally make sure tickets and merchandise costs are kept low and no extra or hidden fees are added. Boro, any football club or band, could do that too. But they choose not to.
It’s been reported in minutes from previous meetings and answers given by the club to questions asked on here that Boro uses a third party to sell tickets. Is it SeatPick? Apologies if not, it’s a company like that.Bit negative that viv.
You’ve basically just made something up then moaned about the club for doing something you’ve just made up
The trial of the drinks system has been excellent
It’s not meant to be personal. I’m just asking whether two pretty big things - safe standing and half season tickets - were ever discussed or debated at a supporters’ forum prior to it being announced. Or was the forum as surprised as the rest of us. I suppose I could actually read through all of the minutes of the previous few meetings, it would be in there. How do I win on this - do I say I/we knew in advance - and then be taken to task as sharing club secrets. Either way - do I personally become a target Viv?
We don't blur images etc like Red Faction but increasingly we are being advised that anyone going to meetings snhould be anonymous - everyone know who I am so too late for that. But isn't that so sad that we should have to do appear secretive. I have had people coming up to me and having a shout at me etc. It isn't pleasant but it happens a lot more online than in the street fortunately. But do you take my point here. Am trying to be as open but how do I win?
I just want ideas to take to a fan meeting - how have the ever changing kick off times had an affected your attendance etc.
If you are not a season ticket holder and even an occasional Riverside supporter - how and what can the club do for you?
Does online videos etc help? There are Boro SC2020 meetings like tonight for instance where you can go to meet and chat with Boro players, officials and personalities.
Which bit did I make up?Bit negative that viv.

With regards to the text highlighted above in bold...If i can be frank Rob, this starts and ends with the ludicrous matchday ticket prices that are being imposed on us. We're marginalised and expoilted to increase the appeal of a season ticket. We're an afterthought for the club. I can afford a season ticket (luckily) but financially it makes more sense to attend on a match by match basis as i live away from Teesside. There are times when i've considered buying a season ticket for the points or out of convenience but i've decided against it because of the barriers to entry. Higher first time buyer prices and not having a shot at in demand tickets despite buying holding a season ticket are prohibitive to me as a buyer. It just seems like the club don't want new season ticket holders and at present i'm happy to oblige. How do I win on this - do I say I/we knew in advance - and then be taken to task as sharing club secrets. we did know about safe standing trials - a day before it was released on here. But not the specific seats. Which is only right as those affected needed to know direct from the club.
The reason I questioned the person releasing the information was not because I was jealous and wanted to be the ITK but it was because I wasn't sure every person in that zone had been contacted and informed. So, I asked if the news had been released by the club or how he knew.
As it happens he was jumping the gun before the club had contacted everyone and also before they could announce it properly. Does that make sense?
No don't do that, tell us some thing else Rob doesn't know aboutYeah I’ve got a question for you, how dare you?? Jumped the gun indeed, It was a Pontiac bandit exclusive!!! But fear not gentle heart I’ve retired from exclusives and will go back to Simpson related memes of the fans forum! sending love and hugs x
