We don't normally see positive comments regarding stewards, however one Luton supporter has given a very positive review regarding a female Middlesbrough steward at Saturday's match.

'Middlesbrough Steward
So often Stewards get a bad press ...over zealous jobsworths among other terminology often used.
I would like to thank the senior female Steward at the Middlesbrough v Luton game on Saturday who like myself noticed a little boy (Luton supporter) who had become distressed at not being able to see the game due to the fact that everyone was stood up.
I asked her why she couldn't move him and his dad to one of the "no go" seats which seperate the supporters even though there was a whole stand seperating the two groups.
She like me had already spotted his distress and HAD already offered him to move into the "no go" seats and eventually she persuaded him to move there...
But within seconds two male stewards decended on him ...but the lady steward stood firm and protected the little boy from their prey.
Often during the game I would look across and see the joy this lady steward had given this little boy by allowing him to see the game...the lady steward looked across at myself a few times and our smiles told us that common sense had prevailed....
After the game I felt I had to go and thank her and shake her hand ...BUT better than that she gave me a hug !! Purley platonic of course I'm a happily married grandad.
Football stadiums need more of these caring people ...and yes I know football supporters can behave like absolute idiots sometimes...but sometimes a little bit of compassion and friendliness can go a long way.
Middlesbrough ...you are very lucky to have this Lady ...her name was Jill I think .
