Michael Carrick

I was really just making the point that when people come on and say “I never liked Warnock, Wilder etc” it is hard to believe cos at one point they seemed to have unanimous backing.

I do remember the Lizards Jumpers never liking Warnock, but everyone else loved him until he said Boris had done well with the vaccinations 😂
I never liked pulis or warnock before they got here to many dodgy stories but I guess you look past it when things are good.

Carrick reminds me more of a Mowbray whether it goes right or wrong hes a decent bloke. Wasnt really about today. Seems to have principles.

Hopefully he has success here

Let’s not put too much expectations on the young man’s shoulders but he’s doing a sterling job so far. He’s lifted the players, got us playing some really decent stuff and things are actually feeling positive around the club for the first time in a while. We’ve got super Michael Carrick 👏

I certainly hope so. If he’s still here at the start of the season after next he’d have been our longest serving manager since Karanka.

Let's hope the players don't fall out with him or his ideas.
We looked superb under Wilder remember, so I'm not being churlish with the above comment, just stating that it's the downfall of all managers eventually.
Really pleased we seem to be heading in the right direction currently, long may it continue.

The last 3 out 4 managers I've really disliked. Pulis, warnock and wilder. They all seem to have a chip, think they are better than us or have a murky background.

Being a nice guy doesn't win you anything but its nice to have a good guy. He seems to be a bloody nice bloke.
I know what you mean. They were all very keen on protecting their reputations and often talked about their past achievements and their previous "records". A certain pride to all them which I think made them less flexible and open to new ideas.

Although they bigged the club up a bit they all gave the impression they thought they were doing us a massive favour by managing us.

Carrick seems much more humble. In a way I suppose he has no managerial reputation to protect, but he could keep referring back to his record as a player (I'm willing to bet those 3 would do if any had a playing career worth crowing about) but he doesn't. His focus seems to be very much on the players rather than himself.

Let’s just hope he is backed in January, as good as the last few games have been we had exactly the same when wilder came in, the squad is clearly massively lacking and needs some big investment to really allow us to press on

3 bonus players there. I don't think it's as massively lacking as was being made out.

No way will utd take a chance on Carrick without proving himself in the prem first. Plus he seems to have his head screwed on and won't jump too soon. He'll be happy to get some solid experience before moving on. If he gets us up and keeps us in prem then everyone is a winner.
