MFC position on digital ticketing….

Did you have a choice when we had paper season tickets? Did you when we had plastic cards? So why should you get a choice when we move to digital tickets?

I'm guessing because you need additional hardware to actually use your ticket, which you didn't when you had a physical ticket. I'm relatively agnostic about the whole thing, although I can see why some people my want to avoid a digital ticket.

Because to use “digital tickets” you have to spend your own money to buy a specialist device in order to access the stadium for which you have paid for your own season card / ticket.
Now, if you want to buy me that digital device with your money so that I can access the ground, for which I have already spent £500, that's fine by me.
 
I think the club should run a trial to see how quickly they can get, say 100-200, fans replacement facilities in place should there be a problem with the system. The company who have installed the system aren't the same people as those who would have to react to any problems.

Personally I dont mind the advantages in technology but I'm also not naive enough to believe everyone shares that view. I don't carry cash generally now and I took a long time to get to that stage. I understand why others don't trust this implicitly.

If I renew, I keep my physical card. I am really pleased about this, no complaints at all.

if I lose my season card or it becomes knackered then I am forced to go digital. Assuming I renew I have already paid £510 for a season ticket. If my ticket is lost or breaks, I then have to buy a specialist device in order to access the stadium.

I just don’t trust the digital technology. What is wrong with keeping the system of those who want the digital ticket can have it and if you don’t want it keep as it is. It worked last season.

Why if we can have u turns on extending the deadlines for paying tickets, reducing ticket prices, can’t we change this policy.

The club won’t turn you or your money away. But if you refuse to go digital in 2025/6 or if you lose your card or your card breaks this is what is going to happen .

The fans forum were not consulted on this last season and the club lied to us about consulting the fans.

I might not come across very well in my posts and I am better in person. I wanted to speak at the fans forum to raise my concerns last season.

If I had to I would pay for the postage and admin costs for hard season ticket. But I don’t see why I should.

I've got a few old devices I don't use anymore. They work perfectly well but I have got newer ones.
If you PM me your address I will send you one free of charge. Or if you don't trust me with your details I can send one to a DPD pick up shop or post office in Nottingham or wherever. Let me know 👍

Not the point. I do not have, nor will I install Google Wallet, so, without a physical card, I will no longer be going.

Roofie asked if anyone could buy him a device. I can't do that but have offered the next best thing.
 
Why are some on here determined to be upset by everything the club do?
Imagine wanting to give up a hobby because you may have to install an app at some stage to get into the ground

Do the old devices have the right (NFC?) software loaded and working.

My phone is not Old, but it does not have the NFC? software.

Or if your phone doesn’t have the necessary NFC having to buy a new phone to make your season ticket work. It’s like buying a new TV, finding it won’t work unless you also buy a remote for an extra £150 to make it function.

Except you can just use your card will still work…
