Recorded today.
It was at the Stadium of Light because that's where the EFL event was.
To pick Ross Stewart up.Why?
I noticed, but thought you would be up on the roof with your bum plugging a big holeI hope that you enjoyed your flounce Diego. I flounced about three or four days ago and nobody noticed.
Racist.I noticed, but thought you would be up on the roof with your bum plugging a big hole
That’ll be why there were the two of them there, seeing as Stewart has trouble walking these days, plus, we’ve been signing all these Aussies, it is only fair signing a croc in order to help them feel more at home.To pick Ross Stewart up.
I hope he does play for us, then all we are waiting for is a LB, Ramsey + others to return from injury then we are as good as last season, imo Coburn makes for an exciting centre forward option. It doesn’t really change anything from last night's speculation other than he may play soon. Not sure why there’s so much drama about this, he’s here this season unless an offer comes in that suits Boro and him. If he helps get us promoted we won’t care if he walks away for nothing!
We've already replaced Ramsey I think so I doubt he'll be coming back. Plus, he seems too injury prone to be reliable at this stage of his career, hope he gets through that like some young players do.I hope he does play for us, then all we are waiting for is a LB, Ramsey + others to return from injury then we are as good as last season, imo Coburn makes for an exciting centre forward option.
It's not true at all we've very successfully signed loan playersWe really should move in from all last season's loaners, Inc Ramsey, never go back is very true.
Ramsey too injury prone
So what’s out of his control? He wants to stay, you’d assume the club want him to stay, or do they actually want to cash in now? I get the feeling that the club will be trying to get him to sign a new contract but on the cheap.Chuba Akpom says he'd 'love' to stay at Middlesbrough & provides upbeat injury update
Chuba Akpom says he'd love to stay at Middlesbrough amid ongoing contract uncertainty and has provided a positive injury updatewww.thenorthernecho.co.uk
Some pretty unequivocal quotes in there for the people who still bizarrely think he's been faking an injury for the last month.
You do realise he can reject a contract, reject a transfer and take his chances as a free agent I’m sure, so who again holds ALL the cards? Chuba has been treated a tad shabbily in the past. I don’t blame him for playing hardball.Surely he means that what the club decides to do is out of his control? All the faff of the past day or two and it turns out Carrick wasn’t lying about the injury and the player himself would like to stay. It’s up to the club now, who may have bids from elsewhere to consider as well.
It’s not as simple as just offering him a big fat contract to stay because the club may feel the opportunity to cash in may not come again. This is possibly very tricky situation they’re in and it’s possibly a lot more complicated than people think. If he wants to stay but the club have been offered £15m, what do you do? It’s five times what they paid and he’s got a year left.
Conjecture on my part, that, but it’s just nowhere near as straightforward as it seems IMO. Or very rarely anyway.
Chuba holds the vast majority of the cards because he can run his contract down and move on. But if he does that and has a sh*t season then he won’t be going to West Ham or Everton or Palace and getting a fat Premier League contract, he’ll be going to another Championship club or out to Greece or Turkey. He’s still only had one good season in English football and he’s 27.You do realise he can reject a contract, reject a transfer and take his chances as a free agent I’m sure, so who again holds ALL the cards? Chuba has been treated a tad shabbily in the past. I don’t blame him for playing hardball.
