Merson and Parlour

Sure I've read an interview with Parlour, said he really enjoyed his time here, was offered a huge contract he couldn't turn down, and he struggled with a back injury most of the the time he was here. Definitely can't recall him slagging Middlesbrough off ......unless I never read that interview.......

He was OK. He played mostly on the right for us after Mendi got injured and put himself about but didn't really offer much going forwards.

Boateng, Zenden and Downing were all far more important components to that midfield.
Exactly, worked hard didn’t really create very much didn’t score any

He was ok for us. Nothing special. For Arsenal however, he was a top player. Remember him scoring a superb goal when we played them in the FA Cup at the Riverside in the season Merson was here.

I've heard Parlour talk about boro and tell stories from the dressing room when he's been on TalkSport

Can you ask Charlie if there's plans to make another series of Pundits, or are Alan Curbishley's wage demands too high?

The official reason given this evening for Paul Merson cancelling was his commitments to Sky Sports. Which if he was on Sky live tonight would be true. The event was originally advertised as Merson and Parlour and tickets sold well.

The Legends turned up a bit late, possibly stuck in traffic (Mr Daffs from Cardiff could be right) but the show went on well beyond the planned time by 30 minutes so the audience got their money's worth.

Nicholas and Parlour could talk, Parlour in particular.

Parlour's time at the Boro was not mentioned and I was quite pleased because it was one of those fing this and fing that nights, like a Essex lads nights out. Most of the stories were to do with drinking and/or player wind ups or knocking others.

I preferred Nicholas to Parlour because he talked a bit about Celtic and Celtic/Rangers stuff and he spoke a bit more about football.

Perry Groves was there too. as a sort of compere, but he didn't have many stories.

The VIP session was select fans going up and getting a photo before the main event and I didn't get a chance to speak privately.

Those damn Herefordshire tractors.

He can work out prices on a Yankee - just like that.;)

When he used to bet of course.

I would guess the BBC want him now and show he's shifted Sky Shows and that means the Legends Roadshow loses out.

Interesting that Charlie Nicholas has benefited who Sky cancelled last season.
