Mel Morris

I think, like Sheffield Wed they would have been better off going down last season. They have just delayed the inevitable like a kid refusing to take medicine until that are desperately poorly.

I suppose it depends if you’re questioning him for his performance as a manager or his politics.

if you're talking about me, then I've said numerous times that it's because of his bang average results (Pulisesque points totals) and the "blame everyone else" personality he portrays through his media interactions.

I don't like his politics, which contributes to my dislike of him, but that's not the only reason I don't like him, as I said multiple times on the threads.

I wasn’t referring to anyone in particular, but this board is so obsessed with politics every thread/or discussion ultimately defaults to that.

Personally I think Warnock has done a decent job so far. He came in with the remit of keeping us up. Last season we were under severe financial restrictions due to the various massive contracts some players were under. It was only when injuries took their toll that we fell away. We were a goal scorer away from making the play offs IMO.

I will judge him on this season now he is able to build his own team and we have more room to recruit the players he wants.

Their fans would have initially believed in Mel because of his commitment to improving Pride Park. Concourse central heating, expansion of those concourses outward with extra bars, food inside and outside.
On the day Jonathan Woodgate was unveiled as manager at Middlesbrough Steve Gibson told me they had so much evidence against Derby County under Mel. He obviously believed they were cheating the systen, cheating the league and so cheating the fans.
Fmttm's own columnist and experienced accountant Mike Kelly looked at their books and saw a bewildering paper trail of ownership migrations into what appeared to be new and off the shelf company names. He had little doubt it was a trail that was supposed to be very difficult to follow.
I think as said above like Sheff Wed they may have been better off being relegated but then again like Wednesday and maybe Birmingham ownership problems continue. What assets do some of these clubs still have? Is Derby going to be a second Bury? This is what FFP was designed to prevent and that is what Steve Gibson was most concerned about.

Like an anti-vaxxer in ICU

That can't be true. No one would sign a contract with blank parts to be filled in later, therefore they'll have no squad by the weekend!

Are they competing with the barcodes to be the next big footie soap opera?
Is it all the players or the ones who are on trial? I would have thought the majority would be on existing contracts

Never forget......
