McNair in talks with 2 clubs

With Clarke just back from 3 months out, Dijksteel and Lenihan both out injured, who plays with Fry? If Paddy isn't in the squad obviously.

Bola as left side CB? Where I don't think he's been that successful really, in a 3 or a 2. Move Smith inside, Howson to rightback, Mowatt in at CM?

Anyone in the youths ready for a run out?
 
Good move all round if we also get a decent fee and not just a loan move or swap with Gibson. 2-2.5m would be a good fee I think. McNair was first name on the team sheet until just after last xmas, when our form started to suffer. His form just seems to have gone off a cliff since then, so maybe a fresh start would be good for all concerned.
 
I would say he has been consistent at being inconsistent. Some good spells here and there but also some poor ones. His best form coming during the COVID seasons under Warnock.

Personally I think he’s been distinctively average and am glad it seems we’re looking to move him on as I don’t think he’s good enough to be starting as a CB for a team chasing promotion anymore.

I’ve thought this for a couple of seasons now, as have others, before anyone comes in suggesting he’s the latest boo boy or player to be thrown under the bus.

He's on a good wedge apparently, so I can only seem him going somewhere who willing are to pay him £20k-odd or whatever he's on, so it is likely to be a team with strong play-off ambitions.

If it gets his wage off our books and gives us a bit more of a fee to get Carrick what he wants I'm happy for him to go anywhere pretty much.
 
frozen out under Pulis and was decent after he went. whats happened this season? Reading Extra Time again and thinking back what a top notch number 6 should be alongside Fry ...... Paddy or Lenigan dont come close to Willie

The only place I've seen it is oneBoro from the same lad that had Strand Larson training with us last summer. He's had decent info before though. We'll see, certainly seems as if Carrick doesn't really fancy him and he's on to big a wage to leave rotting on the bench.
