Well hes not a good midfielder eitherIs McNair really a good defender?
Morsy… In my top 3 favourite current Boro players. I’d prefer Paddy in a back 3… I think this will happen when we get some more left sided players.Agreed on Morsy
Was thinking today McNair should be back in defence and get morsey back in .
Apparently morsey has been dropped for telling lads not to get the vaccine ……how true that is remains to be seen
Totally agreeDoesn't work, makes up porous

I realise you can stop a video of a goal at a certain point & it looks worse than it was, but for their 3rd there are 8 Boro & 7 QPR players in shot.
1 QPR player is being marked & there is no pressure on the ball.
I don't want to blame Jones too much but he's gone from goalside of the scorer to nowhere, Fry has wandered out of position probably to try & get pressure on the square ball as the midfield is all over the shop. If Jones stays deep they probably do go square & we've a chance of getting bodies back & smothering the chance.
That's exactly what i was trying to say & was what happened with Sunderland when he was there too, as part of a back three as one of the centre backs, or right wing back, or not at all!I've only seen a few mins highlights tonight, and read what I've read, so I'm going largely on what I have thought for a very long time. McNair is not capable of playing in a central 2, or as a CDM. He can 'get away' with being in a central 3, or a number 10, although hardly outstanding in either position.
Personally, any offer above 3mill, I would sell.
In those central midfield positions players run off him and in behind him far too easily. He isn't a 360 degree player, by that I mean he doesn't have awareness of the whole pitch. Now at RB he could get away with that, at CB on the left of a 3, he has cover. But pretty much anywhere else it's a big fault in his game.
Put him in a central 2 with a man whose legs went 18 months ago, and we get over run.
