McDonalds - I just don't get it

Sometimes get a BK at the airport. Say Newcastle for instance. Loads of other food outlets(most at crazy prices) with fancy crap and sandwich combinations that make me vomit sometimes. At least with BK you know exactly what you are getting. Might be rubbish but it tastes the same the world over so you know exactly what to expect.

I like Mcdonalds but I only ever get one when I’m going to an away match. So probs be a while before I have one again.

Decent , quick, cheap fast food of course it’s going to be popular. Especially for people with children.

many people these days sadly cannot cook from scratch. my partner works in a school, one family told her they have takeaways 7 nights a week.
sad really, and probably explains why many kids actually dont even know how to use a knife and fork.

Some people on our road get a delivery at least 5 nights a week. I have never had food delivered, and they only time we get a take away is fish and chips, but even then I'd rather save it for when we go to Whitby and sit in at Trenchers. Oh god, I miss Trenchers :ROFLMAO:

I enjoy grabbing a couple of mcdonalds hamburgers & fries once or twice a week. I would never queue for one. I can cook. I do a lot of things that are bad for me. A lot of snobbery going on here!
You've confused snobbery with health concerns. Maybe you should look at the nutritional value of the food you eat?

I have just done some expenses for 3 weeks in Krakow, and I noticed there were about 7 McDonalds receipts. That's bad, but in my defence, sometimes you just don't want to sit in a restaurant on your own.

I think it's ok to say you're not a big fan of something without it being snobbery is it? I mean it's fast food, it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Even those who are big fans will no doubt accept it's a bit quick and dirty. Plenty of delicious things are.

I just prefer other, probably equally unhealthy quick and dirty options. Its not snobbery, it's an opinion.

The OP and others, myself included, find it hard to believe people find it 'that' good it's worth queuing 40+ mins for. But they clearly do. Good luck to them, they clearly get pleasure from it. Anything that eases the monotony of the lockdown can't be bad (in moderation of course!).

Just been to Aldi at Coulby and the queue for KFC is down the road. There is literally hundreds of cars queueing up in 20 degree plus heat. Utter madness.

This is the state of society today. Parents gorging themselves on fatty, salt laden foods proving their kids with the same health issues as they grow up. Its pure laziness and gluttony ... moderation is a foreign term to them.

There's nothing wrong with the occasional treat .... I'll have a Mac D's every once in a while, maybe every 2 or 3 months. Chicken selects with BBQ sauce or a Quarter pounder with cheese or both if I'm feeling like a fatty bum bum.

Each to their own Rico
On about the fish and chips as a second point. I love fish and chips but Trenchers is only ok. Used to like The Wetherby Whaler.
