Mattress disposal

Take it to your new address in the van when you move then arrange with the council there to dispose of it from there at your leisure.
 
I don't live in the Teesside area anymore but took some stuff for me Mam who is , registered and used her postcode as it was her rubbish. Took ID on with the address, but when I went to show them it they basically said they never check the address.
I wouldn't possibly advise you to make an appointment with a postcode that you don't actually live at, but if you did ...they won't check!
Also, why is it called Carlin How Recycling centre, I drove about 20 miles in the wrong direction before I realised it's just outside Guisborough!🤦
 
I've used Haverton Hill loads this year after having some house renovations done and it's always been an easy process to book and turn up.
 
Problem here I assume was OP tried to book on Stockton website for Portrack using a Boro postcode which it won't accept.
He then went on Boro website for Portrack using a Boro postcode and it was accepted.

I think that's the gist of it.
The Stockton booking is via an automated text message service, but I didn't realise at the time that it was Stockton Council.
Every day is a school day.

Roll on the new house, 4 days before Xmas 😨

Car users are issued with a pass, I've got one, had it for 8 or 9 years. The pass is from North Yorkshire council who run the HWRCs. BTW Hambleton doesn't exist anymore, the districts have gone it's all just North Yorkshire. Pedantry over, you're welcome.:giggle:

..........or the fact that part of TS8 is actually in North Yorkshire?

NYCC don’t issue passes for other HWRC near me. You just turn up. Maybe cos we aren’t near the border.
 
I think someone has given yiu duff info. I'm TS8 and have no problems booking at Haverton Hill site. I go there a few times a year and recently took a bed and mattress.
