Mason Mount

Finally removed by someone that knows what they’re doing. Him and Abraham are nowhere near good enough for a top 4 club or England. Hopefully Southgate will get him out of the team and play Maddison and Grealish.

Not surprised that Reece James isn't playing. Everytime i've watched Chelsea lately he has been absolute dog turd

So, do we not want to see our Premier League keeping faith and developing home grown talent?
Not saying that at all Rob but it's clear Lampard was trying to be some sort of messiah bringing through players that weren't good enough. No doubt Mount'll be good enough for the likes of Burnley- it's this exact issue why we suffer mediocrity with England. The National team should be built around Grealish and Maddison and for reasons of bias Mount plays ahead of them. Until we sort out grassroots we'll never have good enough players coming through on a regular basis.

Mount has been chelsea‘s best player this season
If that's how high the bar is no wonder they sit where they do in the table.

The players in that squad you would think automatically give you top 6 throughout the season.

I don’t get the OPs dislike. He is a good player from what I’ve seen of him this season and maybe as he’s played every game this season deserves a rest.

Utter rubbish. What bias is this you speak of? Mount's place in the England team isn't a threat to Grealish's or Maddison's for that matter as they play in different positions.

Come on, of course there is an obvious bias. It's been around for the last 20 years at least.

If you play for a top 4-6 club and you are English you are near enough guaranteed an international cap regardless of current form. If there are a couple of places left because of injuries then they are scrapped over.

When was the last time an Englishman playing in the Championship was selected for international duty for example?

Look at the amount of times Jessie Lingaard has been picked for England, can't be because of his talent because he's a dreadful footballer but because he wears a Man Utd shirt.

If Jack Grealish played for someone like a Man Utd or an Arsenal he'd have far more England call ups by now than he does.

Again totally disagree. Average players for Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool have been given underserved caps for decades. It’s clear that Maddison could play deeper as he is doing for Leicester at the moment.

What you mean is, you don't like Mount and despite him being a highly-regarded, good-performing player, his selection must because of bias toward the club he plays for because you cannot understand why anyone would pick him on merit.

How do you explain players that don't play for top 4-6 clubs getting picked ahead of those that do?

And Jesse Lingard hasn't played for England since the Nations League game against Switzerland and only made two appearances in the past two years so that's not an argument worth making.

Chelsea have 6 games in the next 18 days with 2 of those games within 48 hours of each other. It’s obvious TT has to rotate his squad.

I don't like Mount you are correct. That's my opinion. If he played for Crystal Palace for example he'd be nowhere near the England First XI.

Isn't it strange how as soon as Tuchel comes in the first team he picks has the likes of Mount, Zouma, James on the bench?

Maddison doesn't play deeper for Leicester at all. What on Earth are you talking about? He literally plays behind Vardy as an attacking midfielder. Neither Grealish and Maddison play the same position Mount does. Mount isn't playing ahead of either for England.

Tuchel said it was an unfair line up and he went with experience instead as he only had one session. Wouldn’t read too much into the first line up

I usually would not for the reasons you have but he's made 10 changes. 😲
