I don't honestly know mate. I would imagine a premier league team with questionable morals would still be more attractive to sponsors than a well run decent championship club 🤷‍♂️?

It should'nt really boil down to money but we all know it will.
 
The whole statement is strange. I don’t get why he would say they’ve known him since the under 21’s!?! .. why not say they’ve known him since he was a kid, or a teenager, but by relating it to his career seems like the Dad is star struck and thought their daughter had hit the jackpot.

I hope she is getting the support she needs from somewhere

I saw it last night. I'm not convinced it's real. It's not been on any news or 'reputable' sources.

I've just looked and a thumb nail pops up of the sun running the story (not reputable). You click the link and the story has been taken down.

Her father or family needs to make a public statement if that is a false statement correcting as he is being trashed on social media as you would expect. No advisor worth his salt would have approved of that statement surely.

We are assuming he will be available to play. From the leaked evidence I can’t see an outcome where he we’ll be available to play.

Who knows what the right thing would be to say in that sort of situation. I think he’s made it clear that their previous relationship wasn’t some sort of fling or one night stand.. they were together for a number of years, before he played in the first team.

True. You'd hope and expect its a situation you'll never be in.

I sometimes just shake my head when you see press launching cameras and microphones in front of distraught people. Especially during murder cases or child abduction etc. How does anyone know how to react or say when your worlds just been turned upside down.

You'd think he would have had some legal guidance as to what to say. Don't police assign support to families in these kind of cases? Family welfare/Liason or something like that.

I imagine a simple 'no comment' or 'it's an ongoing investigation' would be advised. I guess though as stated it's not that easy when you get some gutter press camped outside.
