Mark Francois

To be fair it hasn't, but the belittling of anyone who does not follow the FMTTM intelligencia ( sorry did not go to University and without Spellcheck) is a constant on here
The Tories, however, are doing their best to remove the right to a meaningful vote by redistricting.

ST your change of mind since the last election backs your statement up.

Next week what will it be?
It does indeed back my statement up. It’s very troubling when people are so inflexible in thought and can’t change their minds when they realise how bad things are going. To vote labour because you’ve always been a labour man is nonsensical to me

I can't think of one occasion when I thought Tory policies were better than labour

Go on enlighten me
Can you not? Interesting. They have been for me on quite a few occasions even though I’ve swapped between the two major parties as I’ve grown up.

People view voting for a different party as traitorous but everybody has the right to withhold or change their vote as they see fit. After the Iraq invasion i voted Lib Dem. I moved back before the ConLib coalition so I take no blame for that. I do feel however that traditional Tory supporters regard swing voters much more matter-of-factly, being less tribal and realising that it's a win some/lose some game. I wonder if anyone else feels this.

Well, Michel Barnier has replied to the ridiculous, embarrassing and puffed up letter from Mark Francois and it’s a very subtle doozie.

Here is a reminder of the original

He's essentially had to explain to the little gnome exactly WHAT he's been campaigning for the last three years, pointing out that Francois doesn't seem to know.

I bet Mark Francois is not happy. He must be one of the other 6...

Lefty we are on a site that is fundamentally of the left. It's easy to win on here.

We need to get Redcar back, quoting Marx, Hansard or that some Bloke 99% have never heard off is off track makes no sense.

We should be brutal, Boris disgusting behaviour to his wife, make the backhander from Desmond relevent i.e £50m would pay for X no of houses, show Lord of the Manors house and schools, stay well away from the chancellor until he drops a brick. Put Cummins on the front page in his dirty T shirt, basically get rid of the policy snobbery.
Agree with this, Labour need to fight fire with fire, 'let's put the Great back in Britain' , 'make Britain Great again' etc as slogans, need to focus on just how rich Johnson, Rees-Mogg etc are.

Starmer is destroying Johnson in PMQs but the people who should be voting Labour aren't seeing it, would be more effective for Starmer to really call him out, call him a racist, a liar, make Johnson try and refute this on the record, not letters to the speaker, the general public don't care about that.

Focusing on how rich your opponents are will do nothing but invite accusations of envy politics and the tabloid front pages will be filled with anti aspiration rhetoric. These people truly believe that they earned the money they inherited.
As for calling Johnson a racist or a liar, that just isn't allowed in The House.

I'm not sure what my favourite bit of Barnier's reply is.

I think it is that he first of all reminds him that the duty of MP's is to scrutinise legislation and hold Government to account.

Then it is basically 'did you know you voted for the ECJ to have a role in the UK's national life after the end of the year? As did all of your colleagues. Under a deal completed by a man in who you have confidence.'

Thus he is asking Francois to choose whether he was too negligent to do his duty, too stupid to understand what he voted for, or just duplicitous and unprincipled enough to have no regard for promises and commitments.

It sums up brexiters in a nutshell.
