Manchester will soon have 2 of the 6 biggest indoor venues in Europe

Maybe one of the few ways these large arenas can make money and sell out the event they are promoting . The most popular bands or artist in the world only , this can justify building these arenas . I have a site in Manchester and will back to visiting when I'm well again, I think my days of seeing huge music stars are over. More big venues may bring the stupid prices down to see some these music stars.

So its the Forum Theatre, Middlesbrough Town Hall, The Globe for me.
The Stockton Globe I have been to see the Bootleg Beatles, astronaut Tim Peake giving a talk and I go to see Brian Cox in February. I love the Globe its really given Stockton a boost, with a lot of variety acts and people.

New arena being built next to the Sage at Gateshead it will be called the Sage! 12500 capacity hopefully they will design it with sound quality in mind. The Tin Shed over the river is awful I refuse to go there
The Sage is now the Glasshouse International Centre for Music or the Sage as everyone calls it.

I'm starting to agree. The whole process of getting tickets now is horrendous and the prices eye-watering. Still hoping to get some Liam Gallagher tickets. Wife booked a hotel on the off-chance £135. 2 hours later the same hotel was advertised at over £300.

Once 'Co-op Live' opens in the spring, with capacity of 23,500.

Can't imagine many big acts/bands will be passing Manchester by in future.

Good news for the North of England? Or just for Manchester/North West.

Harry Styles is involved with this project o_O

It was £130 before fees for a pair of Manics tickets for next year. Co-headlining, on before Suede. Not a chance.

Wow. I paid less than that for Liam, and it was nowhere near the lowest price bracket (although I couldn't get anything cheaper). He is doing 3 nights though, which probably regulates the price slightly.
