Man Utd boss blaming their poor form on injuries

Man United are awful. Ten Hag has brought in loads of players and most have failed. I can’t believe they spent £90 million on Anthony. Man City go get Doku for less. That is the big difference. As much as I dislike City, their recruiting is usually outstanding.

Was watching the Chelsea game yesterday and the commentator was talking about how no one else has injury problems like them… and then listed about 5 or 6 players, some of them were back on the bench!

I thought that the "injuries" excuse, trotted out with monotonous regularity, was solely the domain of Steady Eddie at Sandcastle.

I don’t think I’ve heard MC really blaming any of our defeats on injuries - mores the opposite, with him saying we have a squad and we have to get on with. Quite refreshing really and another and another reason to love our Mickey ✔️

A few weeks ago MC was asked about our injuries pre match and he said something along the lines of us being lucky as they were spread throughout the side which meant that even if the first choice player was out there was someone to come in for them giving them a chance to cement a place in the first team. A whole first team out and he says we are lucky rather than blame a couple of games on injuries. We are certainly blessed with him.

I just can't even try to empathise with PL managers about injuries if they've got more than a couple of players bought for £20m+.

When transfer fees are that high they should have the very best physios and medical teams which sports medicine can provide.

And if the player is hurt during a game, that's tough but they have the budget for buying cover. They're not exactly relying on human placeholders, like lower league teams will be

The problem with blaming injuries is it's an implied criticism of your other squad players. i.e. they're not good enough. Must be a big confidence booster.

Carrick gets it.
