He’s blowing for a foul. He’s made a mistake by the looks of it. Haaland lost his head afterwards but he is still far more culpable for Man City dropping points than the referee is.
Yes saw the replay afterwards and he was onside. The referee just made an honest mistake by the looks of it.He was comfortably onside from what I saw.
I can only assume he hasn't realised Grealish had got it down. But if he'd given himself another couple of seconds he would give soon realisedYeah, they've just shown him it back again and it's not even close to offside.
Genuinely don't know what the referee is blowing for.
Miles onside. He was comfortably onside from what I saw.
I very much doubt it. The assistants are not told to flag for offside when it’s tight like that for obvious reasons. And the ref gave a fk to City. My guess is it was just a massively delayed reaction to blowing without looking how the play was developingWas it flagged as offside? Wouldn't be expecting the ref to blow for offside given his position, the fact it's primarily the job of the linesman, and VAR protocol.
He played advantage then brought play back. It's a bizarre decision, just can't get his thought process at all. Certainly one where there should be some sort of interview or explanation given after the match.
There was no offside flag. Ref blew.I very much doubt it. The assistants are not told to flag for offside when it’s tight like that for obvious reasons. And the ref gave a fk to City.
Yeah he blows when the ball is mid air. He probably thinks it's going to get headed away. There's a lot of pressure in football for referee to make a quick decision. They should be encouraged to take their time over seeing whether there is an advantage. The ref has made a mistake. Probably thought Grealish was outnumbered by Spurs defenders but it's not as if Grealish was about to tap the ball into an empty net from a yard out.
