Lumley was outstanding.

Lumley did a good job last night, some good saves including that one deflected off Matty Crooks that was sneaking in at his near post late on. Even his dash out of the box he got something on the ball and possibly prevented the cross to Son?

Time to get behind the lad he's between the sticks for the rest of the season and if we can help his confidence by not getting on his back it might just help.

My gripe isn't the balanced debate about lumley, its the comments like "oh FFS get that clown off" it's almost like the comments come from children who need to blame someone.

He has a rick in him, of course he does, but he is being asked to play a certain role that requires him to come out of his box regularly and he generally does it well.

Absolutely this, the overly emotive sweeping statements are just daft. If he could cut out the mistakes he's a decent enough keeper, with the emphasis on the 'if' of course.

I've been one of his bigger fans this season, I do like his confidence in himself to come out and sweep up, to play it around the back.

Look at Lloris late on to see that any goalkeeper can have a rush of blood or make a mistake, it happens especially when they are told to play in a certain way, which is what we've never seen before at Boro.

Made some brilliant goal line saves last night and a couple of important punches.

I've been a critic of his in recent weeks and there's no doubt he's far from consistent, but credit where credit is due he made some good saves last night.

I'm willing to bet if you showed someone with no football knowledge the highlight reel of him and Lloris and asked them to pick out which one of the two was the international and World Cup winner it wouldn't be an easy call to make.

Thought it was going to be a disaster when he came out of the box again to charge the ball down, which he missed. But fair play to the lad, he was incredible for the rest of the game and totally made up for that one error in judgement.

Well done Lumley.

I say he was incredible before he rushed out of the box

Each time he's come charging out and misses the ball, I've been thankful that he's also missed the player, as the potential red card is probably worse than giving away a scoring opportunity. Whether it is luck or judgement I don't know, but glad he hasn't connected with anyone. His shot stopping hasn't really been an issue, more his positioning in not getting down or attempting a dive like for Barnsley's second goal on saturday.

'outstanding' is stretching it a bit.

He made less c0ck ups than normal and only gifted them one gilt edged chance, while making a couple of decent saves.

Just watching the game back, looked like it hit Lumley’s arm when he came out in the first half? Surprised nothing was mentioned about this by the pundits.
