Into the office today and was very full.

went to lunch lines of quests outside some eateries.

walking home decided to go for a pint and the two bars I’ve passed are absolutely heaving for a Tuesday night.

I’ll say it quietly but I think we are on our way back!

yep on our way back to, more food banks, more destitution, more child poverty

Watch you don`t spill your pint when you step over them

What about tourists FatCat, particularly foreign ones.
Is there any sign of a bounce-back there?

Great news Fat Cat.

I was stuck in the office most of the day bar lunch - it’s certainly much busier. I couldn’t really say tourist wise but on the whole much busier!

I then went onto Oxford street area and all the bars restaurants were full with many people outside. Not bad for a Tuesday night.
Been twatted at work tonight aswell. And it's been constant even after the kids have gone back to school. It's superb for the businesses like ours that were held hostage for so long.

Well it’s time to make back what has been lost. Seriously it’s been like any other summer night in london - bars all packed and all outside eating areas full. It’s warmiish but not overly hot yet still crowds everywhere.

Yes I hear you im not trying to minimise the dire situation some find themselves in , I was just pleasantly surprised by the small signs of revival wry I saw after months and months of bad news.

Good crowd in the Sally, you don't have to go to London for a busy boozer. Bar full at the match beforehand too.

Told you we'd bounce back when you were all crying about the end of hospitality.

And when the next lockdown comes well bounce back again.

Sorry man, was having a bad day and responded to your post in a negative manner
Glad you haven`t took it the wrong way (y) but again apologies

Was in central London yesterday at Granary Square. Had lunch at Caravan sat outside. The continued fine weather and increased outside eating and drinking facilities makes it attractive to visit. Be interesting to see how things get in London with the colder weather and the winter rates of infection but in the meantime enjoy and hope they can make hay.

I’m in London also — visiting from the US, although I don’t think it’s necessarily packed it’s definitely vibrant and as many have pointed out the pubs are really doing well on an evening time as the weather has been incredible for late September. Let’s hope it holds firm for a while so that small businesses can somehow gain a foothold in a very nervous economy.

its been very busy since the beginning of september in my part of London (westminster/victoria) although Fridays are noticeably quieter with the advent of hybrid working

Went into London a couple of weeks ago to see my team and it was fairly quiet, looks like I'm expected back in the office part time in about 2 weeks. Am looking forward to it as I won't have to travel in rush hour either so trains should hopefully be fairly pleasant.

I travel right across London from just to say in Essex across to Twickenham in my new job and it's definitely busier on the Tube and train. Waterloo and City is still not as busy as it was but Central Line is pretty hectic and SWT are busy out of Waterloo.

I try to avoid the Central Line as much as possible. Cramped and smelly. Awful!

Essex to Twickenham!? that's a terrible commute.
