London in Tier 2, Whole of North East Tier 3

As posted on another thread - this is a combination of politics (Liverpool v Manchester) and laziness.
We have gone from 1 -3 with no justifiable reason whatsoever.

It is the last straw for some - previously compliant people I know have said if we go teir 3 then - stuff it.
On a personal lever 2-3 doesn't bother me that much but I will be using my own common sense and following only the guidelines that make sense to me.

So Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds, all of the Tees Valley 'city region', Sheffield, Hull, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Grimsby, Manchester/Lancashire (and all surrounding), Birmingham/Coventry (and all surrounding), Bristol and the Potteries are all in tier 3.

Liverpool has come out of tier 3 due to longer restrictions and rapid testing.

London, by far the biggest and most densely populated city, has not once been in the top tier. I'm genuinely just questioning how its even possible, when most people use public transport too.
I can only suggest it actually isn't possible, but it's OK to shut some areas down, just not those in the city

It’s Parliaments way at dealing with its immense regret that it allowed the serfs in the North to read and write .

Just been round London and Morpeth
London e.g. Wembley 328 cases per 100k
Northumberland Morpeth 161 cases per 100k
something fishy going on?
Exactly, that just sums it up doesn't it. I don't know if I need a tin foil hat for this, but there's clearly a bias and an agenda, I cant be convinced otherwise

And while I'm typing this with the BBC News channel on, I'm listening to those effing morons Hancock, Hunt and Johnson laughing and joking in the Commons. Despicable c***s

I'm hearing the same things as well mate.

Luckily at least I get to go back to work full time next week.

Feeling very sorry for the hospitality businesses in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland. I hope people realize that a lot of them will not be there in March. This government yet again has smashed this area over the back of the head.

It’s not based on the size of the city. It’s based on the infection and transmission rate. Presumably London is looking better than the NE for this.
Take those chips from your shoulders

That’s my current thinking.

Followed the rules as best as I can while others have just flat-out ignored them to this point, but I’ve had enough now.

I’m capable of making my own decisions and deciding what’s best for me and my family.

Put your own postcode in

If Morpeth didnt have the same restrictions as the rest of the north east, everyone from Newcastle/Sunderland etc would be heading over for a night out. You cant have restrictions differing at that much of a local level, it just wont work
