Borehamwood, last stop on TFL (so benefit from contactless card 'oyster' zone, no ticket needed) and fast 20 min train to King's cross. A1 roundabout crosses the town. Cheap parking and won't get your wheels knicked! Was looking at a short break with the family so has anybody got a recommendation for an easy to get to with parking hotel preferably on the outskirts off the A1
OK looked it up. It's no longer a private car park and operated by lomax so probably expensive now.. Just looked it up, about 15 quid a day to park. Use parkopedia to find suitable places. They're used to be an underground car park in Camden that was cheap. Let me look see if I can find it.
Good shout. We stayed in an IBIS last time we visited London. Decent enough for the price. The local wetherspoons was cheap too.Borehamwood, last stop on TFL (so benefit from contactless card 'oyster' zone, no ticket needed) and fast 20 min train to King's cross. Is that a straight up and down hotel. A bit like an old Post House? The Caledonian at Harrow in the Hill, stayed there for one of the cup finals. It's a bit easier on the kids later in the evening away from the busy city.
This is a good call. Or any of the hotels in the Swiss Cottage area. Staying miles outside London means having to travel in on the train, and out again in the evening.Marriott Regents Park.
I don't up understand the question sorry. I've no idea what the Post House was like.Is that a straight up and down hotel. A bit like an old Post House?
I am sure I stayed there for work once. As you say a great spot near a tube station.I don't up understand the question sorry. I've no idea what the Post House was like.
You could get a family suite reasonably priced that gave the kids their own space. Plenty of eateries and a family entertainment centre in the area too.
It had a very good buffet breakfast, you could really fill yourself up.
It was a long time ago though.
I've just looked for it, it's not there any longerI am sure I stayed there for work once. As you say a great spot near a tube station.
