No they haven't, not even close.
OK, they have re-couped money on players but I wish we had this kind of money to splash out on players.

Chelsea's net spend this season is the same as Liverpool's over that 13 year period you posted. Madness.

We all know what Chelsea have done but don't try and tell me Liverpool aren't spending cash on players. They spent 100m in Brendan Rodgers' last transfer window in 2014/15 and have also given Klopp substantial backing.

I never had you down as part of the FMTTM Liverpool Supporters Club. 🤣 🤣 🤣

What does spending cash on players mean? Everyone spends cash on players but you said like all the top clubs and then proved yourself incorrect. Even if you want to ignore the net spend and just look at what they've spent, in your post they've spent £800m in 13 years, Chelsea have spent that in the last 2 seasons. They don't spend like all the other top clubs at all.

Even Spurs outspend them regularly.

OK, you are right and I am wrong.

I wonder how many other teams could spend £100m in a transfer window.

£100m is basically standard in the transfer market for big clubs nowadays, and even mid/lower table clubs in the Premier League. Teams like Atletico and Napoli have spent money over or not far off it in recent years on single transfers.

The son of a former work colleague is one of “Klopp’s kids” and played today.

Delighted for them both.

However. as a teenager, his son has now won as many major trophies as Boro have in 148 years! 😬

I was really glad Liverpool won in the end. Chelsea absolutely bottled it.

They had a £200m midfield up against 2 academy kids and they played like the underdogs. I don’t know if it was Poch’s instructions or what, but they got what they deserved.

Liverpool have always p1ssed me off when they have come in and taken some of our better players - Souness, Johnston, Hodgson, Zenden and Ziege. I put that to one side today and wanted them to beat Chelsea. It was nothing to do with the thumping they gave us recently at their place, but the rest of the defeats and the Battle of Stamford Bridge.

They even took Brad Jones but I'll let them off with that one. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Didn’t watch the match live. Watched highlights on ITV. The commentator said the kids won it. No. Virgil Van Dyke won it. He cost £75M from Southampton, plus wages!
