It's a subjective one, hence asking him to go to the screen, and I don't think that it had any impact whatsoever on the goal.

He has to go to the screen as these calls can't be made by VAR, hence subjective. The ref made the correct call as an offside player blatantly blocked the defender who's running into the same space the balls going to.

We can never know if the defender being there would have had an impact on the goal, that's the point.

It's interesting watching Klopp bring on his young players, espeically in such a big game. Carrick has certainly been reluctant to do that.
