Little bit of perspective......

Give over - usual rubbish.
There has now been £35m come into the club as profit from just 3 players in the last year.
We have a Football Director been here now 4 windows. He's had all summer to strengthen the squad.
We have started predictably with two deserved defeats - today was easily so.
We lack a first choice CF, No 10, LB and creative quality just to stand still.
Howson is ageing and we are lost without him, as there is absolutely no cover for him/his position.
We have no First team RB fit.

Additionally Carrick appears confused.
I don't highly rate McGree, but my goodness if he can't get in today...
If Forss can't play wide right (where you've successfully moved him to) or up front in this squad then...
Rogers clearly has talent (I posted so after Millwall) but he is terrible at CF. He should only start if playing with experience and quality around him.
Silvera is miles away from being a first team starter, but how can you expect an unheard of player from the A league to be one.
Stop listening to Woodgate. Coulson is not good enough, or anywhere near it. Selling Bola was dumb.

Everything is all over the place at the minute.
Jeeez, it must hard living in your world.

I gave my opinion, it's not 'rubbish' just because you disagree.

The good news is you win the prize of being only the second poster I've blocked on here.

Have a nice evening x

If you believe the rumours, we had Giles lined up, so Bola was allowed go, then the goalposts moved and Luton out bid us. And....we missed out on an alternative target.

The Crooks situation is all on Carrick I'm afraid. We have Forss on the bench who has played 99% of his career as a CF yet we play Rogers......🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

If that rumour is anyway true it just emphasises the shambolic nature of decision making.
You move players out after the deal is done.

I think I’m the only one who feels sorry for Crooks.
He knows he’s not a CF - what’s he supposed to doi?

It is really easy living in my world, don’t worry.
Yours must be weally weally hard, if you block people so easily.

There is no way we should be scrambling about in the transfer window so late on in an attempt to get a workable squad. We realised what we needed weeks ago.

Crooks was playing No. 10 - even worse. He's played CF before, Rogers isn't a CF more of No. 10......and Forss - the only "natural" experienced CF at the club was on the bench........🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Headscratching line up tbf.

I’m not going to make any team or
Management comment until after the window closes as there’s really no point yet

We know we are not good enough.

Common sense post of the day.

I don't suppose you happened to find any budding Argentinian talent on your recent South American jaunt? We could do with a bargain (and a mate for Payero too).

Carrick hasn't had a full year at Boro yet. He's still learning as a manager, whereas Robbins has been at Coventry about 5 years and has established that side. Carrick inherited players from various bosses going back to Garry Monk. It's far too early to judge Carrick as a manager, and he exceeded our expectations last year with the style of play and the form until April.

With Akpom, I imagine we did offer him the best deal we could, he didn't take it and so there was a bit of a stalemate. That's probably why he didn't go to Portugal, not the injury. That trip is about bonding and tactics as well as fitness - you can still have physio and be involved with the team. You can only sell a player when you get an acceptable bid, and I guess that's only happened in the last couple.of days.

Carrick isn't panicking and nor should the fans. We probably can't get loans til other clubs have finalised their own business, so we have to keep being patient. I wouldn't expect us to spend big at this point - we've been down that road before and been burned. Ashley Fletcher, anyone? We'll keep looking for Barlasers and McGrees rather than Mersons and Townsends. Barlaser will come good - he just needs some clever movement ahead of him.

I still think we're heading in the right direction, it's just frustrating that the transfer window ends after the season has started.

Waiting until the end of August every season is guaranteeing we won't be able to challenge for the autos. We can't keep giving the rest of the league a head start otherwise the lottery of the playoffs is all we can hope for. How can expect to attract players if that's all we're ever aiming for?
Because that’s how the late transfer window works sadly. We lost many of our key players unlike some other sides. We can’t replace them as we constantly get held to ransom by agents and greedy selling clubs. We all know we need new recruits but these days all these moves particularly loans happen back end of August sadly.

We signed Giles, Mowatt and Steffen on loan quite early last season. The only late one was Muniz. Archer and Ramsey were quite early on January as well.

Waiting for a specific player is a recipe for disaster if they choose someone else like Strand Larsen did last year.

Despite the underwhelming start to the season i do think we are heading in the right direction. We had six senior players on loan last season and we are seeing the effects of having to replace half a team on a non parachute championship budget. Engel and Lath should see us improve and a couple of top loans, then its down to the coaching team to improve the young players we have brought in and hopefully we will improve as the season goes on and only need to replace a couple of players next summer. Top 6 should still be our aim this season, there is a long way to go.

I think we have been too overreliant on loans, which the club has acknowledged, but correcting that issue will take a season or two.

As great as our loans were last season it prevents continuity and causes a mini rebuild every season, this one included.

We have a new fullback and striker almost done and dusted and I think we'll see another senior striker and midfielder too, but maybe only a couple of loans amongst that.
