Liar Hancock

It’s almost as if the public actually like the fact that this cabinet are a bunch of dodgy wheeler dealers who cut corners, help their mates out, mainly make decisions in their own interest and get stuff done “somehow”.

The worrying bit is why the public feel this bunch represent them so well...... is this what people want from authority figures now? Is this a reflection of British attitudes?
This is my concern too. I know we won't get a straight answer from the @Paarmo s of this world but I'd genuinely love to know what going on inside their heads.

How they can ignore all the corruption, all the lies. No, not just 9gnore but actually try and deflect from it on social media. You've got to wonder where they are at. As I alluded to earlier I give them more credit than just falling for the vacuous "get brexit done" slogan. Perhaps I shouldn't? Perhaps their political intellectual IS that base, bigoted and short sighted? I hope not though. I would genuinely love to know what motivates people to defend this government. They can't be benefiting from it, because I assume they aren't friends with minister's and absolutely no one else in the country is benefiting from it. They COULD be long time Tory voters who feel they have to defend their party regardless. Which is stupid when you think about it. Or maybe they are just sociopaths? I genuinely don't get it

Are you classed as a long time Tory voter, or was it just a one off when you voted for them at the last general election ?

I did actually cover the High Court ruling Small Town if you had bothered to read the post rather than just following your Party line.
The Labour Party's foibles have even been covered in the Daily Mirror .
Being "a right one " presumably is meant to mean that I don't agree with your views.
In that case I am proud to be " a right one " as well as being British and a free thinker rather than being tethered to the past.

Hi there Cooper. We've missed you.

From the UK outbreak of Covid in March last year until May there were recorded physical shortages of several items of PPE; visors, gowns and eye protection in particular and distribution issues meant that several NHS Trusts were left short of gloves, masks and disposable bags, these shortages were recorded and reported to the Government by the National Audit Office in June 2020, this report which Hancock is well aware of shows his claim of no shortages of PPE to the NHS to be untrue, the evidence is in black and white from the organisation best qualified to deliver an unbiased non-politicised review, how anyone, regardless of political persuasion, can defend a Minister telling bare faced lies is beyond me and it’s these levels of denial that allow this pantomime to continue, lawfully elected does not give anyone the right to lie and behave unlawfully in their post, defending such action is a betrayal of the very things should stand for.

Well that's that then No one has any evidence that he has lied.
As for the Court case , he on behalf of his Department was found guilty of not preparing a statutory declaration which was required by Parliament.
His mitigation was that he told his officials to ignore the declarations and concentrate on saving the UK from scenes that were occurring in Italy at that time and presently in India. Which he did !
As for the lies and corruption in Government , where is the evidence ?
There is none , just supposition and hope that the lawfully elected Government of the UK will cave in and surrender the reins to a Party who supports breaking the law on lawfully re settling illegal migrants back to their own Country and Hamas a proscribed terrorist organisation.
Who are embarrassed to be British and hold people who are proud to be British in contempt.
All of the above are evidenced in virtually every newspaper and news report from all media !
Why bring migrants into it?

Current patriotism is a preference for tax payers money to go to a billionaire’s offshore account with no trickle down to the U.K. economy or liability for taxation in the U.K., funny old world isn’t it ?

The thing I find with self proclaimed free thinkers is that they rarely form original thoughts, all those unpicked fresh ideas out there and they chose to toe a well worn party line....

I'd probably have a lot more respect for the Tory front bench if they all just changed their first names to 'Liar'. Kind of being honest and upfront about being liars if that makes any sense. And Liar Patel in particular seems to have a nice ring to it. Suits her far better then her actual name.

American Mary I think you answered your own question there when you stated distribution problems. There was PPE in the system but the NHS distribution system failed . The Army were brought in and with the assistance of the private sector built a distribution system from scratch which was bigger than the 4 main supermarket's system in 4 weeks.
As for the other very vocal and in one case a rather childish respondents , we will see the pressures the Government was under and why they took the steps they did when the enquiry sits.
It may be possible , then , to call people liars rather than throwing out the insult to all and sundry whose views you don't agree with.

No, the NOA report said there were physical shortages for some items and distribution issues which created shortages on other items. It’s pretty clear what I wrote so yes whilst the report mitigated that distribution was an issue it also clearly states the physical shortage of gowns, eye protection and visors as stock items, throughout March and April, during that time we had a National shortage of PPE, it’s a pretty clear statement the report makes and even more obvious lie that Hancock is telling and you’re trying to defend.

Don’t care what rosette a politician wears they should be pulled up for dishonesty and this is either a lie by the NAO in the June report or a lie by the Health Minister whose department have said he was quoting from the November NAO report which concludes that the only issues between June and October were distribution with U.K. stock of all PPE at acceptable levels.

Ignores actual high courtt rulings but believes "virtually every newspaper" I assume he means papers like the telegraph and the express.

We've got a right one here haven't we?
Paarmo is a new member, with the same old pro-tory crap. WE all know it's another incarnation of the nonsense we've seen on here before from a Tory stooge. He'll respond by denying this of course, but I see the signs already. I've seen it all before and I'm not wasting my time, Block list.

I think you are mistaking the national shortage to other areas of need rather than the NHS.
PPE was not available to care homes etc. because it was thought at the time that the NHS was the primary place of need.
This was obviously wrong in hindsight and the enquiry will obviously highlight this.
Please remember that this was a once in a life time situation and the chaos and panic of the Government at the time was mirrored by every other Government in the developed World.
In an ideal world we would have had x number of tons of PPE just sitting in a warehouse waiting to dole out to everyone who asked for it.
As an aside , although not an excuse , Care Homes are in the main private profit making businesses and if the Government are taken to task for not having a sufficient stock of PPE then perhaps they should take their share of the blame.

Rather than the same old Labour crap that you(and 99% of this board) spout?

Ah yes I see. I always find it sad when people get banned from here and then have to sneak back. There's clearly a reason for the banning either appeal it or walk away. If you sneak back in, kind of tells you what people feel about you doesn't it?

Attacking the man and not the ball. Typical. Did you disagree with anything I said or did you just went yet another personal attack without discussing the issue at hand? How sad
