Matt Hancock today justifying giving a £180 m contract to disgraced ex Tory Minister Brooks Newmark who'd teamed up with the owner of a dog food company to broker PPE deals for international supplies."When somebody approaches the health secretary in the middle of a pandemic when you are desperately short of PPE......."

He said there was never a national shortage again in the BBC interview with Marr today.

Talking with my wife today in the car Hancock came on the wireless spouting this nonsense. What is annoying is that he expects people to buy this nonsense.

No accountability, no humility, no integrity, no honesty, no transparency and no leadership. All qualities picked at random, sorta.

Yes, the whole cabinet appear to be liars and their are no laws to prevent their behaviour. If the directors of a company behaved in such a way they would all be sacked for gross misconduct just from what they say, let alone their actions.

Their day of reckoning will come, but by then they will have earned their huge wealth and be able to sit back on their Caribbean holiday Islands sipping Singapore Slings and laughing at how jolly a jape it was to milk the state for all its worth while hundreds of thousands, if not millions up and down the country form an orderly queue outside a foodbank for some bread, pasta and tinned rice. Whoever takes over, whatever their colours, will likely rinse and repeat where they can.

This is the bit that baffles me. I see it on here. On twitter. A blind defence of the government. A total denial of the lies and corruption that is happening. I just don't know what goes on in people's heads. I wish o could understand it. Why people would allow themselves, and all us citizens, to be treat like mugs. It seems crazy to me. It can't simply because they "got brexit done" can it? As a nation we can't be that stupid? To ignore everything so a bigoted and destructive action can be carried out? It's not sane
 
Well that's that then No one has any evidence that he has lied.
As for the Court case , he on behalf of his Department was found guilty of not preparing a statutory declaration which was required by Parliament.
His mitigation was that he told his officials to ignore the declarations and concentrate on saving the UK from scenes that were occurring in Italy at that time and presently in India. Which he did !
As for the lies and corruption in Government , where is the evidence ?
There is none , just supposition and hope that the lawfully elected Government of the UK will cave in and surrender the reins to a Party who supports breaking the law on lawfully re settling illegal migrants back to their own Country and Hamas a proscribed terrorist organisation.
Who are embarrassed to be British and hold people who are proud to be British in contempt.
All of the above are evidenced in virtually every newspaper and news report from all media !
 
It’s almost as if the public actually like the fact that this cabinet are a bunch of dodgy wheeler dealers who cut corners, help their mates out, mainly make decisions in their own interest and get stuff done “somehow”.

The worrying bit is why the public feel this bunch represent them so well...... is this what people want from authority figures now? Is this a reflection of modern British attitudes?

Ignores actual high courtt rulings but believes "virtually every newspaper" I assume he means papers like the telegraph and the express.

We've got a right one here haven't we?
