Lewis wing

His fitness isn't the best but there are rumours as to why, maybe I'm being really critical of him, he was the one I was really watching last night and you were right in what you say, Tav and paddy were no better

I don't get where the sudden hatred has come from for him, he's in his second full season as a footballer and is one goal away from being our top scorer. Of course he's not the finished article but he's no more 'awful' than most of our other players at present.

Steady on 'hatred' ?? It's just some criticism (and most of us also recognise his strength). Some of his passing last night was cack

OK fair point, but there is a lot of heavily negative Lewis Wing sentiment around these days. I think people forget that despite his age, he's only been in and around the first team for 18 months, and we haven't had a midfielder with his sort of goal return for a long, long time.
 
Coulson showed how to trap a fast ball. It's not Wing's fault that we are so poor at trapping the ball. He did slow down his passes when he saw how poor Gestede and Tav were.
 
It is Wing's fault if he's repeatedly blasting passes out of play.
They were sideways passes too, so it's not like they were done in hope of a fast break.

Gestede played very well yesterday.
 
He’s not great but I’m not sure how we could drop him at the moment since he is one of our biggest threats.

You mean it took him until halfway through the game last night to realise Gestede is poor? Shows how thick he is then.

There was one in the first half where he fired the ball 100mph at Gestede’s stomach, **** knows what Gestede was supposed to do with that.

Think McNair was the worst of the midfield, a shame as he looked decent before Christmas
 
There was only one hard pass to Gestede after about 10 minutes.

Good game last night. Second top goal scorer. Can't complain for a player we paid peanuts for compared with Saville (gave away the stupid corner for their goal) or McNair who flatters to deceive.

Agree with that. I thought Wing and Gestede kept pressure on their CBs and goalkeeper until Wing taken off and we changed formation.
