He is truly an awful footballer, what's happened to him! Really disappointed this season with him.
 
He's been very fortunate with his last 3 goals, but I don't think you can drop a guy who's scored 7 in a team as shot shy as ours.

He was absolutely awful in the first half, but he popped up with a big goal and no other midfielder seems capable of that since Tav turned to ****.
 
Poor finishing and passing, he's lucky their goalie had an off night and that went in
 
Tav aswell, even if we stay up I worry where this team will end up
 
If we had other players doing their job properly I don’t think we’d be complaining too much about him and appreciate his goal contribution more .
 
Can’t pass a ball, can’t tackle, gets the odd goal - a difficult one but, in the current climate, difficult to leave out
 
80% success rate last night. Most Boro passes by any player. 6 shots, 2 on target, 3 blocked, one skied. Good stats again last night. Hopefully his good form continues and he finishes as our top goal scorer as we need that. If his goals are odd, I don't know what that says about the rest of our squad.

I have got the criticism of him in some games but I though his all round game was much better last night and he popped up with yet another goal. I think it’s Tav who is the concern for me, to slow, bad first touch and can’t play that high up the pitch.
 
He is easily the best long range shooter in the entire squad. Easily! Slag him off all you want but when he's not playing we haven't a hope in hell of creating any goal threat whatsoever from anywhere outside the box.

I don't get where the sudden hatred has come from for him, he's in his second full season as a footballer and is one goal away from being our top scorer. Of course he's not the finished article but he's no more 'awful' than most of our other players at present.

His shooting is excellent (apart from a deal ball situation) everything else is poor, it's a lot more noticeable this season I think because he had downing and besic along side him last season who we miss dearly

But we need someone with excellent shooting in the side, because our forwards and our other midfielders simply don't score enough goals.

Even from dead balls he often goes close.

He hugely overhit almost every pass in the first half.
All power, no accuracy.

But I wouldn't say that was normal for him.

McNair and Tavernier were far worse than him last night, so I was suprised at him getting substituted. But I don't think his fitness levels are at the same standard as some of the players who've been in the game since they were kids.
