I don't like it either
I'd rather the shirt was plain red, with white shorts.
Reminds me a match report in one of the quality press when Charlton was manager , along the lines of.. "With the white band on their shirt, and a back line of Craggs, Boam, Maddren, and Spraggon, they not only look like, but sound like a rugby league team, and are as frightening..."It makes us look like a rugby league team.

Ive gone through all the aberrations; that bib being one of the very worst.I don't think it looks very good with a sponsors name on it. Mind the Spartak one looks really good. Maybes it's the cool russian writing, or the red text, or the size of the band.
I think most people who grew up with the band are the ones that like it most. I grew up with the heritage hampers bib so I've always had a fondness for that. That's got history too.

Wonder who signed that one off?Whoever designed this shirt needed shooting. Just awful.

One thing I never knew is that we have had far more "red with white shoulder" kits than we have had "red with white band"Ive gone through all the aberrations; that bib being one of the very worst.

I always thought the band was traditional. I guess we had it in the seventies when were good and it's stuck in our collective memory.
It does just beggar belief how anybody could think this was a good idea.Whoever designed this shirt needed shooting. Just awful.

Well that's not true is it?Since 1936 there have been 8 seasons where there has been some degree of white shoulders.
Those who associate with that kit are dead.
Whoever designed this shirt needed shooting. Just awful.

Norfolk
It hasn't been for all but 15 of the last 144 years...
I count 33 seasons where we've had some form of white design on a red shirt. In the modern day, a white band on a red shirt is uniquely Middlesbrough Football Club.
Stuttgart play in white.
