Pretty sure it was Tommy Docherty who said we looked like a rugby league team when the band was introduced.
 
We should do something like the below picture (apologies for posting a West Ham pic 😯 ) Team up with Chris Rea. I reckon and have a Steel River or Road to Hell strip 👀

This is quite cathartic because I’ve never liked it either! Aaagh!! Mind you as with most kits these days it’s as much the design of the sponsors logo (Mercedes-Benz) as it is the actual colour.

Absolutely summed it up perfectly. Someone asks about opinions of the white hoop, I say I don't like it and get told to support someone else. It's supposed to be about opinions and discussions, not being a white hoop bigot.

I can't understand why anyone who has a different opinion on here is branded as thick or ignorant or lacking in some way. I support Boro, whether or hopefully not there's a white hoop.
 
I didn't call you thick or ignorant.
You don't care about the strip; lots do.
Most seem to prefer the identity that the white band/hoop provides, probably remembering happy times like 73-76 or 2004-05 including our highest top flight finishes since the war.

I agree, its all about opinions, name calling just cause they dont agree with your opinion debate it and not in an aggressive manner

I can see it all now, sports shops looted and torched for selling retro Boro shirts not featuring the band. Then the scandal when it's discovered that WBM have received 'dark money' from Mike Ashley to fund the vicious campaign. Then the downfall when certain WBM activists are sent down when the whole thing is revealed as a plot to create a Sports Direct sporting goods monopoly.

The scene switches HMP Durham. The WBM activist is led to his cell. The door opens, he's sharing with Dominic Cummings who has been incarcerated for his part in the Brexit scam .......... Dom's first words ....... "could you help me find my bloody glasses". Behind him hangs a framed picture of Barnard Castle ...............
Deep in the prison an alarm sounds...........is it another escape attempt by Farage ............

No it's my alarm clock, time for work. Damn, it was all just a dream............
