Was great but chuba for me always wanted the ball and took it plenty to take the pressure off us….
Paddy and smith we’re good also as was Hackney I thought and other than his soft way of conceding the goalie literally saved us…

I agree, bit of an off night for Hackney. I was surprised he stayed on and Howson went off as I was expecting him to get pulled.
But I agree, Lenihan was MOTM.

Our best players were at the back last night, both centre backs and I thought Tommy Smith did well against his old club.
Tommy Smith, Lenihan and Chuba were the three that stood out to me.
Hackney definitely had an off night. I'll take the blame for that.
My 10 year old son plays midfield and he often hangs on to the ball too long and loses it and he dives in with slide tackles a little too often. I said before the game to him, "I want you to watch Hackney tonight and count
a) how many times he takes more than 3 touches
b) how many times he loses the ball
c) how many times he slides to win the ball"
He kept losing it all game

And he 'just' needed to get through this one game (Game number 37 and cut off game) because he was a booking away from a 2 game ban he was brilliant when you also add that context....of pressure riding on not getting booked against a tough opponent with refs as they are these days....he was terrific.

His passing out from the back last night was poor but he was not alone in that.
