Leicester

I'd sooner Southampton won the trophy this year, but I think Leicester have a much bigger chance of stopping Man City/Chelsea and neither of those winning is a fun prospect.

Their recruitment has been absolutely outstanding. Even when spending big they've got it correct. Fair play to them.
I wish we could say the same.
But we look forward and hope we can find and nurture good talent to build on.

They got promotion with the likes of

Drinkwater
Dyer
Vardy
King
Morgan
Schmeichel
Simpson
Schlupp
Huth
Chilwell
Ulloa
Nugent
Fuchs

Hardly a collection of crown jewels or household names - but a good unit
We could and will [hopefully] do the same.
Chilwell wasn’t in that team

Always hated Leicester. Always will. Not that irrational. Coming out of Filbert St years ago I saw a young Boro fan set upon mercilessly in the park unprovoked my a bunch of nasty thugs and since then I’ve hated them. And then to lose to them in that League cup final replay. Nightmare.

The "Baby Squad" were a bunch of thugs and are all now in their 60s. There was a "Young Baby Squad" later on who were equally as detestable.
Leicester have an arrogance to rival Forest and Derby.
Set where they are they have a big area to draw on.
That Cup Final was a real kick in the balls.
We should have buried them out of sight.

Part of me won't forgive them for spoiling our big day, though TBH, that was down to us been so unprofessional in that last few minutes, we had a throw in & 30 seconds, or so later, the ball was in the back of our net, we should have made a substitution, we should have put the ball in row Z, we should have seen it out but apart from that, Leicester as a club are an amazing club
Yes they lost a good few cup finals on the bounce, similar to us but as a club now they're awesome, the way the clubs run, financially, the players they buy, bring through etc its a great example of how you can achieve all that with the right backers
We could have been a similar club to Leicester but we got it disastrously wrong

Good luck to them I say

Apart from a bigger bank balance & let's be honest he was on enough at Leicester but has Harry McGuire bettered himself really

I’m old enough to recall their defeat in the 1969 FA Cup Final to Neil Young. In fact they lost 3 FA cup Finals that decade. And besides before you start getting all gooey over Leicester effing City just remember Emile Heskey, Steve Claridge and Pontus bstd Kaamark! 😡
I watched that match in my village local as an 11 year old, with my mum, and was heartbroken, when they equalised. Listened to the replay on the radio and cried my

I almost cried Jostler & I was 36 😢

Back then Leicester & Wimbledon fought their semi final to play us in the final & TBH, wrongly, I looked at both those teams as a similar club, we were, IMHO, streets ahead of both teams, how times have changed

It's a very minor difference.
But United finished above Leicester last season and are currently above Leicester this season.
He's went further in Europe with United than Leicester went in both seasons.
This cup loss is the first time time Leicester have finished ahead of them in something since he moved, and they might not win it.

He's definitely not downgraded, and he's on a lot more money, so I can understand his decision.

But the move has 100% made him a figure of constant ridicule and abuse in this country, whilst he was seen as a great defender before, so I'm not sure it was worth it.

For me, Evans and Söyüncü are a better defensive pair of CBs than Maguire and Lindelof, supremely ironic in that Man Utd were on the wrong end of two deals there. Shame eh.
