Leicester

Commentary on Radio Leicester ["Stringer" an "Pipes"] are very nervous - as we would be.
The last time they reached this stage in the F.A. Cup was 1982 - and both commentators were one [1] year old.
They face Southampton in the Semi - Finals.
Good luck to them.

They became the Thai royal Families pet project.

without outside investment we’ll never progress

They're not owned by the Thai Royal Family.
They're owned by a Thai duty-free company.

Their title winning squad, which as of yet is the "only" honour they've won under King Power, cost £29m.
We spent nearly twice that after relegation.

They have some recruitment set up.

They continually buy young players and flog them on for millions. They seem to hardly get much wrong.

Also have a superb manager and more so Coach. He seems to get the best out his players.

I know they have Thai billionaire but it's not like he throws money at it. They have spent far less than Everton and probably comparable with spurs.

They just seen genuinely well run👍

I’m old enough to recall their defeat in the 1969 FA Cup Final to Neil Young. In fact they lost 3 FA cup Finals that decade. And besides before you start getting all gooey over Leicester effing City just remember Emile Heskey, Steve Claridge and Pontus bstd Kaamark! 😡

He had close ties to the Thai royal family, being bestowed with the last name Srivaddhanaprabha - meaning "glowing light of prosperity" - as an honor to his family in 2012.

I stand by what I said

I would say the key to their success has been recruitment, the seasons they stated up and the won the league the next season had many good players - Fuchs, Morgan, Huth, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Okazaki.

But also several outstanding players that were signed for peanuts - Schmichael, Kante, Mahrez and Vardy.

Appointing Brendon Rogers was also a great move.

Absolutely this. Remember being taunted by their fans on the way out of Wembley after the late equaliser.

No soft spot for them at all.

That doesn't prove anything?
Surnames have only existed in Thailand since 1912, they've got a completely different cultural meaning to here.

Steve Gibson has an OBE, it doesn't mean we're the British Royal Family's pet project.

They got promotion with the likes of

Drinkwater
Dyer
Vardy
King
Morgan
Schmeichel
Simpson
Schlupp
Huth
Chilwell
Ulloa
Nugent
Fuchs

Hardly a collection of crown jewels or household names - but a good unit
We could and will [hopefully] do the same.

Im old enough too and when I want good advice you wont be top of my list;)

True but I still enjoyed them ripping Man Utd a new one.

I have a dislike I cannot rationalise of Harry Maguire but aside from that they chose to start with a largely second string line up (resting Fernandez, McTominay and Shaw) for what? They are not going to catch City, they have a chance to do well in the Europa League but this is/was the FA Cup. Fk'em

Maguire must be one of the most overpriced players of recent times. He’s a good mid premier league player, but he’s just not got that extra quality about him to be at the top level. Was baffled at the time when they paid what they did.
