Leeds want Tav

Wilder does say round pegs in round holes a lot in interviews!

… Which should be interesting, because even I’m not sure of the best position for quite a few of our players.

£20m :ROFLMAO: He’s so average it is painful. With some decent coaching he could be a solid championship level player. He’s got 90 appearances for Boro. How many times has he been a match winner?

I'm glad I'm not the only that can see it. I just do bit understand the love in 🤷🏽‍♂️

He certainly divides opinion with boro fans.

I personally think he's average. He seems to have always been a "1 good game in 6/8" type of player.

People always refer to "Tavs energy", i find that statement embarrassing.

There's a reason nobody says "tavs goals", "tavs assists" or "tavs creativity".

Wouldn't complain if he stayed because he's OK, but he's really not as good as some people think he is.

Tav’s great, and you can see with more experience and more coaching that he’s not far away from it really “clicking”, and then he’ll be a proper player.

I think it’s not so much about people wanting to get rid of him as recognising our level atm.

Realistically for finances, £20m might let us bring in 5 good Championship players.
If any club is stupid enough to waste £20 million on him I would not expect any more than £5 million of that to go to fund transfers. MFC is running up losses at an incredible rate.

Given the comments on the respective sides of the how good Tav is argument, you could be forgiven for thinking we were debating two different players. How can he be in one camp the best player in the club, incredibly talented, creative and exciting and on the other a wasteful average run of the mill Championship player. Not seen such a chasms in opinion on a player in some time, even including Bamford

He’ll prove to be a critical player now we have a manager whose primary instruction to his players isn’t “**** it forward as quickly and as far as you can”, and where coaching is more than shape and working hard.

He is mobile, can beat players, has decent vision, energetic, and can finish. He has all the attributes required and Wilder is the man to make sure he becomes consistent.
