Lee Johnson's Sunderland

Big win for Wigan

It looked at one point that Sunderland had enough momentum to actually win the league

Blackpool must be one of the form teams at the moment, would love to see them win the playoffs

Bottling it always seems to be a trait of Lee Johnson's teams.

Really pleased for Wigan that they've got themselves in a good position to stay up. They don't deserve what's happened to them over the past year or so.

Crazy to think 3 clubs who've won the FA Cup in my lifetime are in that division.

I make it there are only 11 clubs who haven't played in the 3rd tier or lower since we were last down there. A fair few of those haven't been outside the top flight.

It happens to most clubs eventually, and I sometimes worry we are overdue a stint of 3rd tier time.

Me too. In many ways it feels inevitable but I'm also under no illusion that if it did happen the owner wouldn't be chastised for it.

In fact, its one of those things that I think is more likely if we did change owners.

Get in there, automatic is absolutely gone for them now.
Just need this form to carry on in to the play-offs.

Would love them to drop back out of the top 6 entirely, but probably a bit much to ask.

First time in their history they've lost three on the trot in the third tier. A new low point reached.

They started breaking unwanted records back in 2006 with their impressive 15 point haul, and have continued the trend ever since.

Just glancing down the league one table, I reckon there could be as few a seven clubs who've been in that league longer than Sunderland at the start of next season.

Obviously that's assuming they don't get promoted this year, and that's still a big assumption. However, if they don't make it, they start looking like part of the league one furniture.

Hull on Tuesday, then Blackpool at home, 2 big, big games if they want any chance of automatic promotion

Since Wyke stopped scoring their form has dipped
